He's wearing casual clothing to a football game. I saw my boss drunk out of his mind and all painted up, but i didn't judge him. Why not? Cause he was at a f*cking Buffalo Bill game.

Sometimes a hat is....wait for it...just a hat! And no- I wouldn't wear a tank top and cargo shorts to an interview. However, nor was Manti wearing a backwards hat to an interview. It was a football game- perspective. Seek some.

One point on "Hatgate": While I got no problem with a guy dressing casual to a game or wearing a backwards hat...it's the way he wore it. Like Justin F**king Bieber. All douchey, flat brimmed(FLA Marlins no less) and to the side.


It looked dumb as hell. Argue all you want. He looked like a tool.


I understand it's Manti, god of ND, but I can still slam him for a poor fashion choice and not impact what he's done for ND.

Wasn't impressed with offense, of course there were some bright spots.

Gotta be able to complete a pass to the flats. Didn't really see that "game breaker" like GAIII was at last years game. Other than Nix, that is. Lol

D was solid. Made some plays. I expect big things from Ishaq this year off the edge.

Not much happened in the game.

-Golson didn't look good.
-Cam & GAIII looked ok. GAIII lucky he didn't get a concussion.
-Punter returners acted like they couldn't catch
-Heggie got rolled in the endzone.
-Defense looked good and tackled very good.

Golson was rough. Some nice throws but he had some accuracy issues.
GA III looked pretty good but still runs too high and got creamed by Carlo for it.
Cam, ran ok but is a little slow. Had a great 1 handed catch.
TJ looked good
Niklas looked good
Daniels looked good.
O-line, looked average.

Thanks. I know during spring practice TP said we ran a ton of screens and flat passes. With the athletes we have at wideout this could be huge - but as you said, gotta make completions to the flats.

* Golson looked pretty meh except for one drive where he completed 3-4 in a row.

* None of the other quarterbacks were terribly impressive.

* Atkinson has improved but still needs work. Battering Cam had a nice game. Still don't see him playing a major role next year. Will Mahone did not look good.

* Daniels and Jones are going to be a nice combo. None of the other receivers really stood out.

* Niklas looks much improved as a receiver. Made some big plays.

* Offensive line did not look great, IMO.

* Defensive line depth looks to be improving as the backups progress.

* Special teams are still terrible.

There's waaaaay too much yahoo news up in here. Probably some of the worst posts on fashion I've read in a while. Manti could have been rocking a sombrero. Would that have been professional enough and/or culturally appropriate/offensive? What if he had tilted the sombrero ever so slightly so as not to see his eyes quite clearly enough? What is Manti hiding? By wearing his hat backwards, is it possible he's in a gang... of Beliebers?? These are all questions I wish I had an answer to. What football? Goofs.

Tyler Stockton had a good game, really surprised me. GAIII looked pretty good, needs to lower the pad level. Golson really disappointed me today, was expecting more. Zaire is going to be a good QB for us in the future. We need some more WR talent but we are very deep and talented at TE.

O and D line looked good today, and we need some work at safety.
