I wish I could tell you you're ignorant and that people should stop making random negative posts like this. But. I kinda think you're right... :eek:hwhateve

Honestly, the problem in the past is that we were so reliant on the 3-ball. Teams that do this will not make it far in the tournament. IMO, Florida will be knocked out in probably the sweet sixteen, maybe earlier, because they rely so heavily on the 3-ball.

If Cooley/Sherman etc. play great, I don't see this happening this year.

The x-factor in both tournaments is Zach Auguste in my opinion. Like stated above, past Notre Dame teams have relied on the trey ball a lot, not as much this year but the reliability is still there.

That's why I think Auguste is such a big factor. He is much more athletic than Cooley and he can be the true big man this team has always lacked.

Ya Sherman has what 1 great game in an 5 OT game I highly doubt he's gonna do anything too help a lot. Its gonna be can Cooley play to his level that he hasn't been since he got the flu. If knight can play some good offense and hit those mid range shots like he can then we have a chance against anyone. Our backcourt is rly good on offense but terrible on defense. Good thing we can rebound or we would not be in any games

Looks like we'll be playing Rutgers tomorrow.

Tip off roughly set for 9:30 on ESPN2.

Well they gave us trouble in the regular season so I'm sure they think they can run with us again. Defense is our key when we play great D and hold teams under 50pts we win most of the time but if we give up more then 70 even 60 then we have trouble staying in it most of the time

Sherman is a great player the only reason he left us was because he wasn't as explosive as the freaks we have in Dawson nix and Payne. Izzo loved him and always talked about his ability to score out of the post. Specifically with his back to the basket.

We have 4 bigs, he is the 4th best. He isn't very good

Maybe he is good but he hasn't proven anything yet actually he has proved to me he's a bench player at best but he won't start anytime soon hes like our 8th or 9th guy off the bench I wouldn't call that a great player

He's never going to be a starter on a good team. But he's a very good post player coming off the bench for relief.

Ya I guess but do you really trust him when he has the ball? I personally don't but that's just my opinion

It doesn't matter about the talent. ND always chokes in the Tournament. I will bet all of my vbucks that ND is out before the Sweet 16, regardless of seed and matchups.

ND is a guard dominated team whose guards have played almost every minute of every game. Doesn't bode well....

7.5 pt favs tonight. I'd like to get some momentum for this Marquette game tomorrow night. I really think we can take them on a neutral floor and with a healthy Cooley.

Really hope we get past Rutgers tonight, need to try and improve our seeding and would be nice if we played well in MSG for once, last chance to do so. Im currently in Montreal but Ill probably catch most of the game either on ESPN or online.
