I dont know for sure, but I truly believe Manziel will have a subpar year next season. Bridgewater is my #1 QB in CFB. I also have Golson higher than Gardner.

Figured you'd walk away from a post with real numbers. You're a true contributor to the ND nation. You bring so much value to all of us. Thanks for all you do buddy.

I'm getting in to this super late, but I did read all of the posts.

I like how you brought numbers to the table. And that's great. But you are forgetting that DG came in last year to an offense that for years was built around D-rob. Years. The players, play-calling, etc. all revolved around him. Hell, DG didn't even TAKE SNAPS before the Nebraska game, that's why they played Bellomy.

And bringing your numbers to the table is flawed logic anyway. All year we argued that EG's numbers in the beginning of the year were mostly irrelevant, due to spotty playing time and development. Yet, you cite EG's numbers for the second half of the season, as well as DG's, but DG's "second half" numbers are equivalent to EG's "first half" numbers. He was thrown in halfway through the year.

DG will start this next season, and there is no reason to think otherwise. I went to the NW game this year at UM (unfortunately, my GF's dad played for UM and she is die hard). I was pretty impressed with some of this throws. Outside shoulder tosses underneath the corner, going through progressions, etc.

IMO, he is a top 15 quarterback and was in a bad system this year. As a fan and in my heart, I would still take Everett because I love him. But as a rational individual, I'm not going to sit here and say he is better than DG.

So doesn't that make you a troll-in-law?

LOL. I troll so hard on their family. Her dad came to my UTL tailgate last year and I rocked the UTL jersey right in front of him. He was drunk, so I was good. If he hadn't been, it would have been trouble.

Guess that isn't "trolling," but I am the resident ND fan at family gatherings.

Backpeddling? Read the convo. What has been my point the entire time? I've said it enough: "It is a slap in the face to call Gardner a better QB than Golson" yet you continue to change the subject by bashing the best QB at Notre Dame. You bring up things like defense (WTF?), Manti (not Gardner, not Golson), you continue to change the subject to try to get it on your level.

So let's chat. You want to be on topic. Here you go:
If a backup QB with a 60% win percentage, with only one win against a team with a winning record, and not even half a season under his belt as the starting QB is better than a QB with one loss on his record, whose one loss was in the National Title game, with consistent wins over top 25 opponents in prime time, we are living in a strange world.

You say this in a lot of your posts and each time it sounds worse and worse. It's pathetic. A slap in the face to suggest one QB might be better then another QB? I mean seriously dude, get a grip.

Not once has Wooly or anybody else bashed Golson so stop with that weak accusation. If you think EG is better then Gardner then so be it but don't get so defensive when others disagree. It's unbecoming.

I think we will see Manziel take a dramatic step back this year with his best two lineman going into the draft. Both high in the draft, I may add.

Regardless of how good or bad Wittek is (I happen to think that he is very talented), he will be running for his life all season.

I think Brdgewater is the best QB in cfb, and its not close. Manziel might have had a great season, but Bridgewater didn't have two first round tackles blocking for him. Manziel is a scrambling gunslinger, while Bridgwater is a polished QB that is NFL ready right now.

Wow! We agree on something!!

Teddy is deadly accurate and has a great arm. Also a tough guy with leadership. He'll be a great pro
