BK stated that he will be on the scout team helping the defense prepare for games, and it sounds like he actually is healed up from both the ankle and the nerve damage at this point. The main reason for the decision to redshirt is not his lack of health now, but the decision not to waste a year of eligibility at this point in the season when we already have 3 good RBs in rotation. Fast forward to the 7:30 mark for the question on Amir:

Bingo.

Is Kelly asking TP what is for dinner? Italian night TP?

Did anyone else catch Amir sitting on bench with crutches beside him? Trying to convince myself it was someone else but it was such a quick glimpse.

i thought kelly said he was 100% about 3 games into season, but since the backfield was so crowded, they were going to be cautious and simply redshirt him.

I think you're right. Just having trouble remembering.

I'm not sure it was so cut and dry. He had some nerve damage and it took a while to heal.

I agree. If Amir is getting the bulk of the shared carries we will be in good shape. It all depends on how hard GA3 works this off-season. Lots of potential with him but Amir is probably a more natural fit.

Do we know for a fact he is back to 100%? I ask because I read a blurb 2-3 weeks ago that he still may not be.

I hope he is, looking forward to seeing him.

Where was your blurb? Link? I mean you just can't leave us hanging, blurbs all over the place; they could be anywhere!

I really think him and Mahone will see the majority of the carries.

I really don't see mahone getting much work. I understand it's going to take Bryant some time to get to know the offense but between Amir, GAIII, and Bryant I just don't see mahone getting in there. On a side note there was an article on II from after the NC game where Amir talked quite a bit about playing slot

I don't see any reason to put GAIII ahead of Mahone, or even McDaniel

Not sure if serious. He won't be an everydown back but he is a gamechanger back there. Mahon and McDaniel can't even come close to his big play ability. Kelly specifically said in multiple press conferences that as a staff they have to do a better job of getting him the ball.
