So as of now, only 3 BIG10 teams are in the top 35 in recruiting and 5 in the top 40. 13 SEC teams are in the top 31. 9 for the PAC12.

To be fair I would think PSU would pull a top 35 or 40 class if not for NCAA restrictions.

It depends on which site you are pulling rankings from...They are top 30ish on 247 sports.
EDIT: 26th on 247 sports.

As a boiler, I will say, I do like Hazzell. He has a lot of personality, and is tough.

Something Hope lacked, actually, Danny just lacked everything.

That should only help our recruiting in the Midwest one would think..... Though we want to branch out into SEC and PAC12 territory,

In the modern (internet/espn) era I don't think the presidents, AD's, boosters, fanbases etc of the "little 8" will be willing to accept that situation for the long run. I think it's only a matter of time before the rest of the B1G wises up to what OSU (and to a lesser extent) UM are up to and gets into the arms race that is big-time college football... I think we tend to forget how much more money the B1G has compared to the SEC, despite the SEC's overwhelming football superiority. It's not even close (in either of those two categories haha)

Thank you Jack and previous AD's for not moving ND to the B1G. ND independence and national draw is gold.

We knew this, but it just echoes that the BIG10 knows the new NCAA regs will only hurt the teams that consistently recruit badly.
