Doesn't every offense face that problem?

Think Fiesta Bowl.

Yes...true...The Fiesta Bowl was a glaring example of how speed kills an offensive set. But what I am implying is that his scheme doesn't set up well in the SouthEast Conference because a lot of his system revolves around the quarterback getting out of the pocket and creating with his wheels. Linebackers in the SEC run like frickin' deer and provide the qb very little time to create. Perhaps when Mr. Leak graduates this year and UM is able to install his own personel into the package things may be better, however, I just see the Spread Option being a bad scheme against certain SEC powers.

When Spurrier left Duke for UF people said his offense would never work against SEC defenses - too much talent, too much speed. He didn't do to bad, did he?

Meyer has done better his second year than his first at his prior stops.

McNeil never got an offer this weekend from Florida, at least thats what Gator fans are saying.

That makes sense. UF already has 3 CB verbals, #23, 44 and 53 why would they want the McNeil?

He's the #9 CB per Scout offer him a trip but not a scholarship?

I hope his grandma enjoyed her trip to FLA.

I think when Urb gets his personnel in there, the offense might do better but the speed of SEC defenses is a force to be reckoned with.

I still can't help but point to the fact that this offense was successful while he was in the MAC and Moutain West.

It's all about the defensive lines and getting pressure on the QB. If teams can't get pressure, Florida will be like the Indianapolis Colts. However, the Auburns and Bamas have damn fine lines.

It's definitely an interesting experiment.

Here's what McNeil's coach has to say about his visit to Gainesville:

"The trip was just an opportunity to get his parents and grandparents involved and to experience the recruiting process," Illing said. "They've never done anything like that and he took his trip so early because he wanted to be at the Notre Dame-USC game and they couldn't go.

"But, he's 100-percent Notre Dame."

Now, to clear up some controversy about whether or not Florida extended an offer.

"Oh, yeah, the minute he walked out of the locker room at the All-American game," Illing said about whether Florida offered a scholarhship. "Florida and Georgia both."

Georgia told Raeshon that he'd have a scholarship waiting for him and if he was interested all he had to do was call. They didn't pursue him. Obviously, McNeil didn't call. He didn't call Florida either, but the Gators persisted and that's what led to the visit.

Raeshon McNeil will sign a Letter of Intent next Wednesday to play football at the University of Notre Dame. He'll join teammates, Logan Buchanan (North Carolina) and Jonathan Mayfield (Richmond) in a ceremony in the school's media center

from scounts.com....

"According to Davie County (N.C.) head coach Doug Illing, Raeshon McNeil, a four-star cornerback and a new addition to the Scout.com Hot 100 list, is going to reaffirm his commitment to the Fighting Irish after a visit to Florida last weekend.

"He told me today that he is solid with Notre Dame," Illing said. "He and his family had a great visit to Florida, but he is going to stick with his commitment to Notre Dame.""

Correction - "not so little kid"

He's a "big boy", but he has more moves than a Slinky.
Goes to show you what 4 King Dons, 6 pack of YooHoo, 12 packets of Pop Rocks, 2 bowls of Fruity Pebbles, and enough No Doze to choke a horse can do for you.
