It didn't seem to me he did it on purpose. I thought he was trying to slide, which he realized was a terrible slide and his reaction was to raise his foot to protect himself. Disclaimer: I hate the Pats.
I liken it to when you are falling backwards in a chair and you involuntarily throw your feet up for counterbalance. That's what I saw but to each his own.
Have to fine him for appearances, but I don't think Brady was being malicious at all. Dude is way too cool of a customer to do that.
Yeah. I remember thinking at the time it was kind of a weird play. Wasn't sure why he stuck his leg up like that, but seemed self-protective as much as anything. Any experienced QB knows better than to take cheap shots at a defender. That **** will come back on you in spades.
