After all this settles, in my heart I hope Tuiasosopo doesn't harm himself or take his own life or do anything stupid. He messed up BIG BIG BIG BIG time. Own up to your mistakes, own up to everything and pray that god forgives you, and try to carry on with your life.

.......and maybe just get an *ss beating too.

“@McMurphyESPN: Manti Te'o told @JeremySchaap he was not involved w/hoax, but said it affected his play in BCS title game”

Even if it did effect his play I really wish he didn't even mention that

I agree. Now he's going to get blasted for making excuses for his play.

Also,

One Foot Down ‏@OneFootDown

Fittingly former USC Trojan OJ Mayo ties the OKC vs DAL NBA game further delaying Sports Center. This whole thing is a Trojan conspiracy!

Q: Do you think it affected your play in the title game?

A: I don't know, probably... It was certainly weighing on my mind and I was having trouble focusing leading up to the game.

Just IMO

Now OJ Mayo is in on the whole thing...wtf. I think they've told us everything on the bottom line already. Schapp and Te'o probably just bullshitted about where he's going to get drafted...fml

He definitely has some psychiatric issues and needs help.

He should have a lot of support. I wish I got a buck during this story for every time I heard friend, cousin, church members, sister, etc. Hell, it sounds like everyone knew everyone.

Good point, if anything I hope that's how it transpired. I hope he didn't go on record during this and stated that. Guess will see either way soon enough.

He also had a male and female cousin helping with the hoax. I can see a bunch of dumb teenagers pulling this but not an adult.

ESPN is handling this whole thing brilliantly from a ratings standpoint. They always lead off sportscenter with a few other stories with the Te'o story just out of reach on the rundown, knowing that people will stick around through stories about the Lakers and Jets to hear about Te'o. They space the Te'o segments out, always hinting at more "breaking news" and "new developments," even when there have been none. And now they're squeezing ratings out of a stupid NBA game by promising new info on Te'o, "new info" which, I'm sure, isnt much different than the stuff already reported on the bottom line or on ESPN.com

Brett McMurphy ‏@McMurphyESPN

RT @richarddeitsch: Some of you asked: I can say w/near-certitude ESPN did not pay for Te'o interview. Not how they do editorial

This Bama stuff is so stupid, we got blown out, why even ask that question? Should of just responded, "No, it did not affect my play on the field."

In the interview, Te'o also said that:

• He lied to his father about having met Kekua, prompting his father to tell reporters that the two had met. Several media stories indicated that he and Kekua had met. Te'o insisted they never did.

Ok, now we know he lied.

Did Schaap just slide in there that Manti was composed to a point he felt it was more a story than the truth?

Not coming to terms to it being a hoax untill 2 days ago explains my questions on why he didn't talk sooner

THE MOTHER ****ER CALLED TO APOLOGIZE TO TE'O?!?!?!?!??!

I bet Te'o forgave him... He's just a nice guy. He didn't even believe she didn't exist until 2 days ago.

Seems like Schaap thinks Manti could be lying but doesn't want to come out and say it after he was granted the opportunity to interview him..

Again, I'm speculating.

He still believed she might exist up until 2 days ago? I thought he told ND he was scammed on Dec. 26?

I got the feeling Schaap feels like Manti was telling the truth.

This will probably be old news by next week.
