Some 'Bama Fans Are Obnoxious Homers

I will say that Alabama is likely a fumble through the end zone away from 3 straight titles. The Auburn game the year they won it. Ingram kicks the ball after a fumble out the back of the end zone. That td would have made it like a 3+ td lead. Cam somehow brought Auburn back for the win.

Alabama certainly has been THE dominant force in the last few years. The title goes through them. No denying that.

I just don't like a total lack of respect from certain jackass fans. The confident fan I can appreciate. Bama fan should be confident. SEC homer needs to chill.


Yesterday after the wins by South Carolina and Georgia a UT fan gets on my FB page and barks about SEC handing the Big 10's *** to them. I asked if we watched the same games because it didn't appear to be dominant beat down to me.

Bama had two losses before AU, and finished 10-3. That freak fumble bounced over 20 yards right along the sideline, and an aub recovered it.

I think the healthy Bama team that steamed through Michigan State was as good as any team in the country

While I didn not read every post in this thread, I didn't have to, every team has its fair share of obnoxious homer fans.....ND is no different. I don't see it here, but Scout, and Rivals has their fair share of idiots, whom act as a representative of our fanbase that are coherently embarrassing to say the least.

Then consider Alabama is 60-7 won/loss over the last 5 years, 2 BCS championships in the last 3 years , number 1 rated recruiting classes almost every year and has a coach known for bringing home the crystal trophy.

I mean, that kind of success makes fans very confident in their team, why would an Alabama fan think their team would lose this game? You've been watching your team win almost every game the last 5 years.

Some fans take it to an obnoxious level and that turns me off too.

This is a very fair post. I guess it would help to look through the perspective of the opposition.

But no doubt, I think that deep down every 'bama fan has a little fear going into this game.

Well, once the game kicks off anything can happen, against Georgia we threw a Int in the endzone and had a kick blocked and returned for a TD, making the game far more difficult to win.

I think Alabama will win, but i have no guarantee, anything can happen on gameday, the team that shows up and plays the best usually wins.

I am nervous about a game this big, winner take all, the loser goes home empty handed.

I expect Bama fans to be homers.
I have no problem with them saying anything because I say stuff as well.
I have problems with every other SEC teams fans acting like ND is playing the SEC all stars.

No doubt I have some fear. I feel like this is the least talented Bama team since 2009.

You never know what is going to happen. Look how much better Louisville is than UF.

I have a good friend who is a die hard 'Bama fan and he's always given level headed commentary. He's optimistic, but like gcashwell, shares the opinion this is the weakest Tide squad since '09.

Well if Florida is indicative of the second best team in the SEC perhaps Bama does have most of them.

Florida didn't have a good showing in their bowl game, but Alabama has curb stomped Florida the last few times we played them.

ND wont be facing Florida or Georgia, Bama is top of the SEC and has the head coach that knows how to prepare for a big game like this.

Ill agree with other fans that this isn't the best Alabama team of the Saban era, but if they play mistake free, they will be hard to beat.

Guys you are missing the point Notre Dame has no chance.
Sure ND beat 10 bowl eligible but we also beat 0 FCS teams.
Sure ND struggled beat a Rose Bowl champ top 5 bound Standford team but we didn't struggle to beat a team who's offense had 8 three and outs against a Clemson team that refused to play defense most of the year.
Sure ND went Oklahoma and shut down a hire powered offense but we didn't lose to Texas A&M at home.
Guys we simply don't have a chance.

There's the built in excuse folks. If the Tide does get beat Monday, it's because this was a down year, not because Notre Dame was better.

1. Why is he not wearing the hat?

*Is he trying to show off his greasy mane to make Johnny and HCTI jealous?

2. What cup size is he?

*Andre Smith, Terrence Cody, or Dolly Parton?

3. If he's posing for pictures, then who is feeding his pet snake and or tarantula?

I guess I'll have to spell it out for you. there is a difference between going back ~25 years and going back 1 year.

As in this team is down from last year's team = This team is not as good as last year's team.
