Classic tweener but I'd love to have him. To slow right now to be an OLB, to small to be a DE. Definitely a project. Just curious why he's reaching out now. Has he come to his senses or getting pushed out.

To slow!? We will have a speed problem with Jaylon then

Well yes, 6.67 is too slow to be an OLB. 4.67 is probably ok though. Jaylon is also a freak and shouldn't be the standard OLBs are compared to.

Strictly my opion, but a BCS caliber program's OLBs need to be at 4.6 or below. Jaylon is a freak x 10 from an OLB perspective. Prevot could get faster, or he could just beef up and go the DE path. Either way, I'd love to have him.

Yep, hard to put much stock into the speeds right now. Film does show a significant difference between the two though. Just looked back and Rivals shows Jaylon at 4.6.

Good stuff. Interesting. Me want even more now.

Not sure why we are comparing him to Jaylon. Jaylon is one of the best players in the country. Very few players stack up to him. However that doesn't mean he isn't a good player and won't be in the future.

no one ever speculates or compares on a message board, especially when a new recruit rears his head in the same postion space

Just kidding, but come on LL. I think it's an interesting comparison actually, and per Philly's info above, decent comparison. Me want.

I get why we are all on an ND message board but to me a much better comparison would be between AQM, Hollins, and Prevot. That is an actual discussion topic. Comparing almost anybody to Jaylon just doesn't make for a good convo IMO, because they are clearly not going to be as good.

I think the two are as close size and measurables as you're going to get. Hollins is also close, but AQM is in another time zone right now.

For me its not just measureables, its skill of the player. IMO, there is a drastic difference between the two players that is just doesn't seem worth the time to discuss. Michael Jordan or Lebron, interesting. Michael Jordan or Kobe, interesting. Michael Jordan or Dwayne Wade, not so interesting. Both are shooting guards but the difference in skill is so much that there is only one side to the convo.

None of them have played a minute of CFB yet, so IMO, it's OK to speculate. While I do think he's a ringer, I'm not calling him the Michael Jordan of OLBs just yet. I hope so, but not yet. Not saying Prevot is Dwayne Wade either.

Do want!

He reminds me of a more athletic KLM coming out of high school.

I like this kid's tape. I think Hollins has a quicker first step, but I liked Prevot's ability to take on blockers, especially for a guy who is relatively light, and make plays in space. Good OLB/DE prospect for us if he can put on weight while keeping his footspeed, and I'm glad he is back in the picture. Just my $0.02.
