10 qualifers. Miami won enough games (7-5) to be bowl eligible in '12 but suspended themselves anticipating NCAA Sanctions.

Only Wake Forest (5-7) and BC (2-10) fail to win the necessary 6 games.

Figured to be a low scoring game. BYU has one of the top ranked (NCAA) rushing defense while SDS relies on their running game. BYU is the better passing team and SDS secondary isn't strong but both BYU QBs were banged up going into the game. Key offensive weapons are BYU's WR Hoffman and SDS RB Muema.

BYU held SDS to a pair of first half FGs trailing at the break 6-3 while Muema had a good first half. Early n the second half BYU's Van Noy forced a fumble in the SDS end zone and fell on the ball for the first TD of the game. After the kickoff SDS fumbled and BYU recovered on SDS 14. RB Williams scored the only offensive TD of the game on a 14 yd run. Later in the 4Q Van Noy got another TD on a Pick 6 to ice the game.

DEFENSE!


The two big offensive weapons had a good night, Hoffman 10 catches for 114 yds and Muema 103 yds rushing on 26 attempts. NEITHER scored.

It has to be the other way doesn't it? Purdue has an intern coach coaching the bowl game and they are not as good as OkSt.

Guys, we may have beaten 10 bowl eligible teams, but we didn't lose to A&M at home, so we're not as good as Bama. Simple as that.

After we beat Bama, I say a week and a half later we play an exihibition game against Texas A&M in South Bend in January just for the heck of it. Johnny M is good but I'm confident based on what LSU and Florida did I'm confident we wouldn't lose to them at home. If A&M wins we have to share the national title but when we win Manti gets to be co heisman.
