How will you be watching the NC game?

After a 4k plumbing bill, I decided not to go to Miami. Instead may take a long weekend in Belize after or before business.

If so, at the Palapa Bar in San Pedro.

If not, on the couch at home.

I'm going to watch this game the way I've watched every game this season. Alone in my man-cave.

In the same chair, wearing the same clothes, doing the exact same things.

The older I get, the more I cannot deal with crowds and random people. So, I will do what I did in both 2009 and 2011. I will wake up, go into the office for a few hours and send out an email informing my key employees not to disturb me unless someone dies or a large asteroid is about to hit the company office.

I will then leave, load up my bird dogs, and go to my farm, where I will shoot some quail, cook a huge steak, and make several stiff cocktails as I prepare to coach the boys up. No kids, no wife, no friends.

All in all, it will be an All-American day....

Haha. It's just my luck that the Irish make it to the NC game and I have to work. Maybe I will jsut use this as an opportunity to pull over every vehicle with an Alabama bumper sticker.

I had a good friend who is an Alabama fan say we should get together to watch the game. I like him too much to threaten our friendship with three to four hours of emotional roller coaster so I will do what i always do and watch it alone.

My wife looked perturbed when I told her I didn't want to watch the game with him. She said "you can't even watch a football game with someone?" We have been married almost 20 years and am a little surprised by her question.

Belize, well really Ambergris Caye is a pretty nice little island. I opened an office in downtown Belize City almost 2 years ago. Not much on the mainland unless you like Mayan temples, etc.. There are two islands, Ambergris, and Caye Caulker. Very different, but both nice in their own ways. The folks that run the bar are xpats from the US. A retired fireman and his wife. Super-cool couple (Scott/Jodie)and very nice to float in the ocean below while they "bucket" beers down to you with a rope.

Im like most of you and watch the games completely by myself. I will go out and tail gate for some of the less important games occasionally though. With the national championship coming up im at a complete loss on what to do. I thought about going to a bar somewhere around south bend. I always love seeing the videos of bars erupting when teams win championships, world series, etc and id love to be apart of something like that. On the other hand I want to spend it with my grandfather who is the reason i am a notre dame fan, I mean what if this is the last national championship i ever have a chance to watch with him ? Or should i stay home where i can cuss, and throw things around when bad calls happen like i normally do?

I would love to be there, but will be watching with a few of my fellow ND Alums/Friends/Family at a local Irish pub/sports bar. For those of you who are going, please consider a cheer used often during the '73 NC game- Roll Tide Roll, Roll Tide Roll, around the bowl and down the hole, Roll Tide Roll. The Bama fans REALLY hate that one.

I would love my 9 year old to stay up too but that is likely vetoed.

I don't have kids yet, but I would be pumping my son full of coffee if it meant he would be able to stay awake for the game. Your wife should have zero say in that. There is no way in hell my dad would have let me be put to bed for a game like this.

As for myself, I'll be doing what I've done for 23 years... watch the game with my dad.

I think I am renting out the back room of a bar with another big fan who doesn't drink (built in DD!). No Bama fans and a couple of SEC nuts may be banned too. I'm thinking I buy a round at the end of any quarter that the Irish are leading. Wife and kids stay home and go to bed.

Monday night is stupid. Won't be done until midnight eastern at the earliest. Might be a small crowd late in the game since most are fans of the game more than Irish. I would love my 9 year old to stay up too but that is likely vetoed.We did kick around making the trip to Miami and scalping tickets but there is way too much uncertainty in that.

Isn't he on christmas vacation, no school the next day. 5 hour energys and monster for the young lad. HE HAS TO STAY AWAKE TO WATCH.

A 55" TV in high def in 2 rooms. 32" high def in the bedroom, and even just put a small TV in the kitchen on top of the fridge. Will also try and find a small TV in the attic for the bathroom just so its always on.

Audio in the game room is all horn loaded klipsch for speakers and a huge Danley subwoofer. Klipsch are 2 la scalas and 3 speakers taken from an Imax theater during their renovation. The subwoofer was built by me. Stands 5 feet tall and weighing in at nearly 300 lbs with a backing of a separate 50 lb 2000 watt amp I can rock the place out. Can push the entire system to nearly 130 dB if the wife won't stop talking.

I'm surprised at how many people like watching games alone. I am definitely one of the crowd. I can't stand watching games with people who don't know what they're watching (i.e. viewing the actual chess match and the strategy, not reacting to good plays or bad plays).

I watched the "Under The Lights" game last year with my best friends and one of my friend's wife, and they are completely apathetic to sports, but when Michigan started their comeback she just--out of nowhere--started cheering more and more loudly and I lost my mind. It took every ounce of control to not berate her. So this year I've done a great job of not getting so invested; during the Pitt game I was as cool as a cucumber.

This year I have a rather amazing near-campus house and so my roommate's best friends are all over binging with us, and they're huge Buckeye fans...and particularly the sort who hate Notre Dame more than Adolf Hitler himself. It's the worst--and yet oddly enjoyable because Notre Dame went 12-0! **** em all, right? I imagine for the NC game I'll be more of the same. Go Irish. Fuuck Ohio State.

I am also one who tends to watch alone...I will sometimes watch with my lady...but most of the time I just want to be left alone haha.

I used to like watching with people, but I found that it messes up my mojo.

I need to be alone with my thoughts.

I'm another loner typically. The only exceptions, Labor Day when I'm in Hilton Head with family(even there I sometimes shut myself in bedroom if the game is close - ala USF... this year had a family emergency so didn't make it), if I travel to Knoxville for UT game (again, sometimes I hide from the RV crowd and go back to my little 27in under my pop up), or during Bowl games (typically with family). This is the first game in long time I will not be on vacation with family. Anyway, if it's even remotely close, me, and everyone else for that matter, are better off if I'm alone....

I’ll be watching with my family and friends or perhaps at a local bar here in SoCal or most likely standing like I’m on the sideline hunched over focusing on the game (yes I’ve watched Bama tape..lol)

Been a fan since 85…thought I picked a winner by 88…found out by 90’s heart attacks come every season, 2000’s let’s not go there. These games do not come too often, live for the moment and WIN boys. Whatever happens I love this team and will ALWAYS be an Irish fan.

And yes I’ll probably shed a tear when we win.
