The Orange Bowl has gotten totally shafted in the BCS era,.... Remember when that bowl game mattered?

This is the BCS Buster that everyone has been hoping for.... Hope and pray that they don't just stop at 4 playoff teams now. Do it right.

A couple of things. Nobody should feel sorry for Oklahoma. They are probably the most disappointing teamin football year in and year out. Maybe if they didn't lose 2 games every year they would have made the Orange Bowl. Sidenote: when was the last time the Orange Bowl was worth watching?

Good for NIU. They may not play the big schools but they won their conference and they deserve it the BCS has a set of rules and NIU met the criteria to get there. Good for the Huskies. Growing up 40 minutes from Kent I would have prefered them to make it but ill take NIU.

Also, how HUGE is that $8 million pay day for the MAC?

I don't think anyone is feeling sorry for OU per say, but they lost to the #1 and #5 teams in the country. They also had the balls(unlike many BCS AQ schools) to schedule a game like ND mid-season. People complain when top teams don't schedule yet in this case OU gets screwed because of it. Also NIU lost to Iowa.

And who cares what they do year in and year out. This is about this year and this year the system screwed them.

Good for NIU but OU got screwed. They had the guts to play us mid-season while the SEC was playing the annual SEC/FCS challenge. This isn't an undefeated Utah, TCU, or Boise State. NIU lost to a horrible Iowa team and has squeaked by some mediocre teams from the MAC along the way.

and yet all we hear from ESPN (minus our boy Lou of course) is how the SEC got screwed by the 2-team rule...

I'm hoping for a resounding OU win over UGA.

If you think about it, Ga and Ok got screwed in the BCS. They play each other and that could be one of the better games of the bowl season. Some the other bowl games are a joke. Fla vs Louisville? Gee cant wait for that blowout.

You are right sorry bout that, WVU and Clemson was the Orange Bowl last yr...Orange Bowl has sucked for awhile.
