Diaco leaving would suck. Diaco leaving to coach a team that plays ND every year would suck too.

Hopefully he is trying to get a raise at ND.

I feel like we keep losing coaches. Maybe this happens to a lot of programs. Idk.

Good for him. I feel that the "cycle" of being the next big thing takes a few years to develop. As in he interviews this year and in a few years time (next year or so) he gets his job. Not now IMO.

Glad to see him get a look.

Yeah I don't like this but if its his dream we will suffer through it. I still hope he is holding out for Iowa and this is his chance to earn some serious coin from ND.

I hope ND pays the man enough to keep him from leaving. It's been 24 years - we cannot afford this kind of distraction. And if he takes a job elsewhere it may become a lot more than a distraction.

This is what happens when you win. I just hope, if he does accept a HC position, it doesn't hurt recruiting.

When programs win or do big things it's almost a given.

This. If you're losing coaches, it means your program is succeeding. Good for coach Diaco. I know we'd all love him to stay, but sooner or later he's leaving to get his own head coaching gig. Hopefully nothing happens until after the NC game.

Pay him what he wants! Is it that difficult to figure out? We won our games on defense. This sickens me. If he takes a job they will want him to start immediately for recruiting. I just hope he says at least he will stay for the championship game.

It'll be ok guys lol. When your DC interviews for head jobs without having head coaching experience thats a damn good thing. That means you have a head coach that is building a program that starts with the staff. Players come and go, coaches do the same. Everyone on our staff minus Coach Elliott has similiar goals, who is to deny them that. My guess is a lot of you would interview for a better career job if the opportunity presented itself. Diaco is a great molder of men, and when he does take HC job, those future kids will be better bc he did.
