I agree. I also don't get how Laker people feel that their personel fits D'antoni's offense either. They have 3 aging players and a guy that just had back surgery. Why would "run & gun" be a better fit than the offense that has already won several championships with Kobe running it.
Their entire roster except for Nash is comprised of isolation players, and they brought in a transition offense coach. One that also has never coached defense well.
Lakers brass is eating stupid pills lately.
If there are lakers fans saying it fits his offense better then are just trying to talk themselves into thinking that. The only people I see this benefiting are Nash because of his familiarity, certainly not because of his youth, and our bench. It actually has some youth in Morris, Meeks, and Ebanks (if he gets his legal issues cleared). Other than that, which isn't much, not impressed at all. This guy has done nothing but run scoreboards up everywhere he has went with nothing to show for it.
If you look at the 3 wins the Lakers actually have you will see they won because they played good defense and took a lot of high percentage shots, maybe didn't make a high percentage but they were near the basket giving us opportunity for second chance points.
Not happy.
