Guys this is my first year playing fantasy football and I need a little advice. I need to figure out if I should start Larry Fitzgerald or Felix Jones as my flex player this week. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Need more info. What's your scoring structure? PPR?

Edit: Having now looked it up, I would go with Felix. Murray is out today so he will get the workload against the Giants. Fitz is going against a tough 49ers D that is given up the 2nd fewest pts (non-ppr league) to opposing WRs. I expected Arizona to have a long day at the office today.

Thanks, I was going to go with Felix but he didn't practice this week due to a bruised knee and wasn't sure if he would hold up.

FF help. Big time moves coming up. Two QB league, PPR. I need a RB. Possible trade is me trading Dez & Vick, and getting Spiller & Eli. I already have Brady at QB so Eli would come in and replace Vick as my flex.

I have good WRs already in Cruz, Crabtree, Britt and Nate Washington. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My bad. Thanks Wooly.

PS - Take that trade. It's a no brainer.

1) Never trust a Cowboy in FF.
2) If a team is going downhill, jump ship with their players. You cant trust the team making changes in order to salvage a season. (ie Vick)

Quick question. Fantasy draft in 45 mins. Got 1st pick, AD no brainer right? Any other smart picks for future rounds?

I have first pick in my draft too. AP is 1st for sure.

Depending on your league structure I would go RB-RB first. Not many quality RBs out there this year. I tend to go RB, RB, WR, WR/RB. I've been waiting as long as possible for QB and even longer for TE picks.

I've done a lot of mock drafts and Steven Ridley seems to always be available as a second pick. Look for Julio Jones/Demaryius Thomas as your first WR pick.

I also like Le'Veon Bell and Lamar Miller as mid-round choices. I'm also looking to draft EJ Manuel in the last few rounds. DeAndre Hopkins is a good late round pick up. He's going to be good.

I have 4th pick in my leauge and im debating taking Arian Foster if he is still there... Not sure if i should though. I know his back up Ben Tate just got a minor injury this weeked. Both shoudl be back. But i honestly think i might take Doug Martin or Marshawn before Arian... Any thoughts?

Is this standard or PPR?

I think Foster and Martin will both be gone by pick #4. If they're somehow available, take Martin.

Avoid drafting Foster if he's available. I don't think Foster will have a great year. Look at his production over the past few years. I know he's only 26, but his production in terms of ypc and ypg have been steadily declining. Add to that, the fact that he had 400+ carries (regular season + playoffs), including a league-leading 351 carries during the regular season, and you have a recipe for disappointment. Not many players have had good seasons following 400+ carry seasons. Also keep in mind that Foster is currently not 100%. He's nursing a few injuries including his calf and his back, the latter of which has kept him out of practice. Plus, if Tate is injured or limited in any way, then they're going to rely on Foster even more.

The red flags are there. Don't draft Foster.

Your best bets at #4 are Spiller and Lynch. I was going to make the case for Jamaal Charles, but as I'm writing this, Charles was just injured at Chiefs practice and had to be carted off the field. So until I know more, I would just avoid him altogether:

Spiller has a very high ceiling. He rushed for ~1250 yards last year on 207 carries (that's 6.0 ypc!!). The Bills said they want to give him the ball "until he throws up." So they're expecting a lot of production from him this year. He's also a threat to catch it out of the backfield. If he gets the ball in space, he's probably the most dangerous/elusive runner in the NFL. The only concern I have is that the Bills are going to try to find a way to get Fred Jackson some carries, and Jackson could become the goal-line back, as he's more of a power runner.

Lynch is a safe pick, he's the Seahawks' every-down workhorse and will likely find paydirt 10+ times again this season. You can't go wrong w/ him at 4.

tl;dr--Assuming everyone other than AP is available at 4, I'd go: Martin>Spiller>Lynch (avoid Foster and avoid Charles until we know more about his injury).

This is exactly why I asked.

I was personally was thinking Martin>Lynch>Spiller. Because like you said, What if the Bills throw Jackson in there in the red zone and he gets all the TDs? That would **** me off to no end.

Thanks for your input.

Never really thought about Charles, just because i hate trying to rely on a RB that plays behind an mediocre line. Last year McFadden was complete garbage bc his line was mediocre.

Arian Foster won’t return to practice on Monday | ProFootballTalk

Foster’s not going to make it on the field, however. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that coach Gary Kubiak said Sunday that doctors have informed him that Foster needs a few more days off before he’s going to be ready to join his teammates at practice. Kubiak also said that Foster has had injections in an attempt to lessen the pain in his back, which has also gone into his legs.
. . .
While there hasn’t been so much as a whisper that Foster will be sidelined into the regular season, there has to be some concern about the continued movement of the goal posts for his recovery. The Texans offense leans heavily on Foster and the longer nagging injuries keep him off the field, the more one has to wonder if his ability to handle a sizable workload will be affected.
