Hope Everrett Ghoulston doesn't transfer to play for Charley Weiss, leaving Bryan Kelley with Tommie Rees and Gunther Kile as his only QB's. Luckily they would still have Sierra Wood to run the ball and Taylor Eifort to catch it.

On defense, Manny T'eo alongside Luis Nicks and Stephen Tuwitt might be all we need to continue our dominance. Of course having Zeek Matter and those young CB's, Kevery Russall and Benit Jaxson gives us great hope for the future.

This isn't something I seen written but my wife is not a big fan of sports. She has been getting more and more into ND sports though, because of myself.

We were talking sometime last season and she asked me how "Mike Taylor" was doing. I was extremely confused. So I had to ask who she was talking about. Then she says you know the guy from Hawaii and I said you mean Manti Te'o? She says "yeah that guy. It's the same thing, you know who I am talking about"

I laughed so hard I could barely breathe.

Great stort...Mike Taylor.. Haha.

Fact: The University of Notre Dame graduates approximately 99% of its student athletes, leaving 1% to fall to the wayside as patrons (typically lurkers) of fan base site Irish Envy.

I miss the old Charlie Weiss team with Dayne Christ, Darius Flemming, and Cierre Woods. Then Kelley got the job and we were stuck with Tommy Reese. Its a damn shame

Actually, what is most annoying is when you go to gift/donate an IE member and you cant remember how to spell their name---where the space or underscore belong, or the cute spelling "twist" they've added, etc...

Thats why I enjoy donating KPENN.

I do utilize the copy and paste feature, however, you cant copy and paste multiple names. It does require clicking back and forth unless you open a separate window.

Did I hit a nerve with you in calling out your underscore?

While we're on the subject of names...a poster on another site, a guy from Hawaii, said that the media all pronounce Te'o first name wrong. He said in Hawaii it's not pronounced "Man-tie," it's pronounced "Mawn-tee." I could see some truth in this based on the dialect over there...however you would think that Te'o would have corrected someone a long time ago if that were the case. Anyone on campus know if this carries any weight? What say you, Hawaii natives?

At the 17:02 mark he says "Man-tie"

I'll stick with how he pronounces his own name haha

And I still don't know how people (especially media) say "Tay-Ow" like "ow, my leg hurts" ...

Last Saturday I watched the game with some of my friends who are "huge ND fans" for all of the last 5 minutes. They consistently mispronounce Golson and Cierre. Pisses me off and even after me correcting them 50 times they still continue to mispronounce. In my opinion you are not a fan at all if 1)you do not know more than 10 players and 2)you can't pronounce their damn names! I am glad others share on my frustration.

Maybe it's just my hearing, but Tom Hammond seems to go between "Reece" and "Rees" even on the same series of downs.

I believe this came up when he signed with ND a long time ago. Man-tie is how it was pronounced then. However, I too have my own Hawaii story about the subject. At the time I called him Tay-O....I was corrected and told it's pronounced Tay-Ow. My two cents...

Yeah I've always said "Tay-O" and I think most of the students do, but I've heard Kelly say "Tay-Ow" as well so along with your story, that's probably the correct way. I just hate to admit I've been saying it wrong.
