You make it seem like the game against A&M was some type of football clinic put on by UF. The box score isn't all that pretty.

You're comparing a game against Tennessee which has the 86th ranked scoring defense? The same team that gave up 26 points to a 1-5 Akron team.

UF also beat up on Kentucky. The 1-5 Kentucky team that is ranked 107th in scoring offense and 91st in scoring defense. Moving on.

You also beat 3-3 Bowling Green...by 13...at home.

You also beat LSU 14-6. Saying LSU beat the crap out of Washington is not exactly some great accomplishment by the way.

In my guess-timation:

Week 1: Bowling Green vs Navy = Push
Week 2: Texas A&M vs Purdue = A&M
Week 3: Tennessee vs MSU = MSU
Week 4: Kentucky vs Michigan = Michigan
Week 5: LSU vs Miami = LSU

did you watch the 2nd half of the A & M game?

Tennessee can score.

I dont know why you are compairing random games what was the point of that?

I dont think to highly of Washington but the got manhandled by Washingtson who seemed to do pretty well against Stanford.

actually what was your whole post about? And stop with the rankings they have no validity since people play different teams

Presented with evidence of how teams compare and you want to throw them out? It was to compare who ND has played and who UF has played. You seem to think UF is better and I am disagreeing. I am presenting you with why I disagree.

The 2nd half against A&M means what?

Tennessee can score..but can't win.

Below is a look at the records for SEC coaches (at their current school) against teams that finished the season nationally ranked. Only three coaches have winning records, and Richt is actually fourth on the list even though he has a losing record. Missouri’s Gary Pinkel, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin, Ole Miss’ Hugh Freeze and Arkansas’ John L. Smith aren’t included because this is their first year as head coaches in the SEC:

Auburn’s Gene Chizik (since 2009): 11-7 (.611)
Alabama’s Nick Saban (since 2007): 14-9 (.609)
LSU’s Les Miles (since 2005): 21-14 (.600)
Georgia’s Mark Richt (since 2001): 18-27 (.400)
South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier (since 2005): 8-24 (.250)
Tennessee’s Derek Dooley (since 2010): 1-9 (.100)
Kentucky’s Joker Phillips (since 2010): 1-9 (.100)
Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen (since 2009): 1-13 (.007)
Vanderbilt’s James Franklin (since 2011): 0-5 (.000)
Florida’s Will Muschamp (since 2011): 0-5 (.000)

Did you watch the A & M game yes or no?

Those stats you picked are not evidence of anything.

I watch football and form an opinon based on what I saw.

Again I was asked a question and answerd it pulling out meaningless stats isnt going to change my mind on who would win if they played.

If some meaningless stats are why you disagree with me I dont know what to say.

He's our herpes.... IrishEnvy is officially infected with herpes. You think it goes away.....and............poof, it shows up again. Ignore him.

His act is old and I refuse to interact with him anymore. It's like poking Ben Affleck with a stick. Sure, it's fun at first but then he starts talking about the Gayturds and it makes me really sick to my stomach and then Matt Damon runs in to rescue him with a pink cape and matching booties screaming something about apples.

WHATEVER YOU DO... DONT EVER POKE BEN AFLECK AGAIN.

gigli.... ugh.

well, someone poked him cause he made jersey girl after that.

since then--someone must have slapped him around a bit, and we know it wasnt matt damon. but he's actually become a pretty decent director, i havent worked with him yet, but his movies are good.

i think argo looks amazing. great story. and the line "if im gonna make a fake movie, it better be a fake hit!" is so classic hollywood producer.

but back to the task at hand--

Ole Miss is the Ben Affleck of the SEC. They can beat Florida during a National Championship Season, but be a laughingstock most of time. However, the party in the grove is worth the drive.

Affleck can make "The Town," make "Gigli, and has a hell of a good time screwing anyone he wants.

In other news... back to the SEC not being as good as advertised.

Cowherd was just saying that ND is #1 in more of the BCS computer ratings than Bama as of right now.

We could be #2 or #3 in the first BCS rankings after this weekend.

Was he saying it in his whiny voice or his haughty derision voice?

I think they would be able to throw the ball a little on ND secondary but that just me. I do know Florida can run the ball and the defense causes turnovers.

Based on what? Miami set an ACC passing record the game before playing ND. They scored 3 points against us though. Now you're going to think that's because our front 7 pressured the qb and that's why he didn't shine like he did the game before. How many sacks did we have in that game? 0? Obviously our team defense is pretty good if that's the case. There has been very little leaning on our front 7 despite what you hear on ESPN. The team plays great team defense.

Even when QBs get time to pass our defense still does well. Rewatch ND Miami and look at the pockets Morris had. He had great protection! And to not appear biased, UM's receivers had a few big drops - if those had been catches it would not have been enough to overcome the 38 we beat them by.

did you read the score I predicted?

I like how you take various parts out of my argument out of context, ignore the rest of my extremely relevant points, and then ask a question that has nothing to do with what we were talking about. Reps.

I read this great column earlier today and have been debating its merits all day with some friends down here in dixie. They want to hear none of it.

Think it is worth some discussion? Is Notre Dame screwed if we win out and others do as well?

Read here.

It depends on who else wins out. If ND is undefeated and so is the Bama, Oregon, and KState or WV. I think ND comes in 3rd and Bama and Oregon go to the NC. However it will also depend on what Oregon and Notre Dame do to the common opponents Stanford & USC. However I dont think ND could beat Bama or Oregon
