Where do we rank come tomorrow?

Where do we rank come tomorrow?

Oklahoma lost and Clemson is losing at the moment. Where do we rank come tomorrow? Top 10 most definitely. Perhaps 9?

Personally after watching our offense tonight I don't think we should be in the top 10. Top 20 for sure but the O was pretty bad and Michigan isn't a lights out defense. Our defense is for sure a top 10 group.

#14 Kansas State will probably move way up ahead of us. #10 Clemson will drop down quite a bit. #8 West Virginia struggled with Maryland, but I can't see us climbing ahead of them given our struggling offense. Maybe we will get voted beyond idle Stanford, but their victory over USC still looms large. Both Michigan schools may end up unranked.

#3 Oregon are still in the 1st half against UofA, leading 7-0. I think FSU will move up #2 and LSU will slide a little.

We should get a nice bump from in the stupid Coaches Poll, where we were 15th coming in.

I personally hope we drop a few spots after a game like that. won't happen, but I Get the feeling that some of the guys bought in that they were a great team and came out flat

Who would you move ahead of us? The ranking isn't an arbitrary number of overall team strength. It is purely comparative.

There are a handful (at best) of truly elite teams this season; maybe it's just Bama and then the rest, though FSU have been quite impressive tonight and there's still Oregon, South Carolina, UGA, WVU... and Stanford.

Would you take Texas over us? Ohio State? Louisville? TCU? One-loss teams like Oklahoma and USC? Is Kansas State really better than ND?

Agreed. This was the first game this season where I wondered what our front 7 would have looked like with Aaron Lynch still with us. Our defense is only going to get better and here to stay.

I didn't say I would move anyone ahead if us. TCU, USC and Kansas State all look more polished all around than we do at this point though. If we had a solid QB I would consider us a top 5 team. Like I said our D is pretty damn good but you hang them out to dry like the O did tonight against say USC and Clemson and it would be bad news.

Supposedly. USC scored 14 points against Stanford. Clemson's defense is terrible. TCU has played literally no one.

I'm glad we have the BYE week to get everyone healthy. I think we clean some stuff up on offense over the break and come out hot.

I think we will stay where we are or bump to 10.

To address what you said, AL doesn't fit our scheme. Let it go.

Our front 7 is a top 5 unit in the country.

Agree---- He was not a good assignment player. Little discipline unless you want him to kill the QB. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to keep him, but he is not the player Tuitt is and I kind of like what Day brings.

I want someone who wants to be Irish.

I know it's cliche', but if everybody doesn't buy in... the whole locker room feels it.

Looking at the top 25 today and seeing teams contiue to pile up W's against completely inferior talent. Really?

25 Neb v Idaho State
23 Miss State v Southern Alabama
20 Louisville v Florida Intl
16 OSU v UAB
1 Alabama v Florida Atlantic

Padding stats.

Thinking the Irish end up at 9 and 11 in the polls.

Well, accepting 110 players in 4 years gives them something of a mathematical advantage. Just saying.

we get to 9 but with this offense it will not be an accurate ranking. If EG needs to be replaced every other game I question if he is the guy.

ND#3 in Sagarin BCS Ranking

ND#3 in Sagarin BCS Ranking

USA TODAY

The BCS uses Sagarin's Elo Chess Rating which is PC and does not include any MOV. Sagarin claims his Predicator model is his most accurate. ND is #10 in the Predicator. SU is #11 and USC #15.

If ND were playing this week, Sagarin would have them a 13 pt favorite over MIA on a neutral. SU would be a push and USC a 1 pt dog, both on a neutral field. Predicator uses 2.42 for HFA.
