Hello Fellow Domers. I am asking for everyone to pray for a friend of the family. Their newborn daughter is in pretty bad shape. this is paragraph from her email to her family and friends:
"yesterday I talked with Dr. ------ (the hemotologist- aka blood doctor) on the phone, he had already left for the day when they paged him. We didn't really get good news at all! He said that her liver and blood cells are not getting any better and that he's thinking that they will probably need to treat her with the chemo injections. He did say he wanted to do the bone marrow proceedure first before making any decicions about the chemotherepy. They are doing the bone marrow proceedure right now, as we speak. (If your not sitting down... please sit for this one!) He also said her liver condition could be fatal. We hadn't heard that word before. Let's just say ---- and I had a really rough day yesterday after talking with Dr. ---------. When I asked about the side effects of the chemo he refused to discuss them over the phone. He wanted to meet in person with ---- and I to go over in detail what measures they will take and what the effects would be on Ava. We didn't take that answer as a good sign either... but we'll see what it means on Friday or Monday when we meet with him."
