And people have problems with ND fans? Here is expert Alex's followup:

Can you believe it? Anybody want to tell him Floyd didn't play defense? (much)

Technically with all the INTs Tommy threw he did have to make some tackles....:)

He is correct on most of his points.

ND's corners aren't in the same league as Bama.
We haven't been able to contain Denard in three tries.

But, the opart about Lynch is just idiotic. Plus, the fact that our LB's lack talent and depth is also idiotic. Shembo isn't talented, Carlo, Fox, Spond, Councell, Ishaq isn't talented, Grace, Moore? Those statements are plain ignorant.

This will be my first game in south bend...any tips on places to park or any other gameday tips?

Gary (Indiana has some nice spots)

Will I get spit on like I did at ohio 2 years ago?

Well, if you're sitting amongst Michigan fans, you likely will. They are a pretty rude fan base.

BTW, the ushers love it when you stand and cheer the whole game.

Seriously, enjoy the atmosphere (you may not enjoy the result ;)). You guys are catching quite a bit of flack, but think you and MGoBlue have been pretty respectful.

Seriously think you two guys are myopic about some of your defense's (especially run defense) woes. UMass put up 3 yds a carry on your D, which was considerably more ypc and yards in the game than they did against woeful Indiana. For some persective, Indiana was gouged for something like 180 yds on the ground by Pioneer league Indiana St (and it was even worse for the Hoosiers against your coach's old team Ball St), and yet held UMass to less than 80yds and 2 yds per carry. UMass also: scored their first 6 pts of the year against your defense (all in the first half), and were something like 7-17 on 3rd down conversions.

Charley Molnar's team is struggling offensively, so where you guys think that you can't judge your D's performance from the Bama, AF, UMass games, I think the UMass game points to some real big problems with your Defense (esp. your run defense). I suspect your little brother will pound Bell at you guys when your teams play, and I don't think you have the front 7 to stop him the way ND did. If they can contain DRob the way they have the last couple of years, I don't see how you win that game.

Michigan's Offensive Line Will Not Be Able to Handle Notre Dame's Front Seven | Bleacher Report

Please direct your attention to the comments on this article. Our visitor asked for links to discussion boards where Michigan fans were being obnoxious over confident turds...here ya go.

I think you deserve some acknowledgement for your contributions, and your point of view. Never heard you do the mamby pamby make excuse that the Walmart fans really objected to. I did hear you say you were tired of the idiots though . . .

(My word, idiot)

Did anyone check to see what percentage of yardage was put against M's first team by Mass? It still doesn't matter. ND is going to take it, but even people on this thread, even good ND fans are guilty of conflation.

I don't know when they pulled their first team guys out, but the split was relatively close to 50/50 first half vs second half for the yardage; and the first half included a big 24 yd sack as I recall. All the offensive points (2 FGs) by UMass were in the first half, and expect were generally against Michigan's first teamers.

BK: Monday is a rest day. Put MSU behind us. We focused on what needs to be fixed and what went well. Back to work.

BK on playing Michigan: It's a red letter game on everybody's schedule.

Today is Intense Tuesday. Looking forward to this game. We have to continue to grow as a football team. Committed to getting better.

BK: I'd say the thing that I wanna talk about more than anything else is we have to continue to grow.

A number of things need to get better but there are a lot of things we can build on - but on to Michigan

We have to continue to get better

I don't think there's more of a diverse group of opponents that any team in the country plays.

If ND wanted to compete on a national level they needed to do it first through defense.

Kelly says he's asked Golson to throw the ball away, which hurts completion percentage but helps winning percentage (I like that phrase)

Golson is very skilled AND very smart - he just doesn't have process down yet - but he can make plays and he throws the ball away.

Q: Improvement pre-snap from Purdue to Golson?
BK: Yes, still growing.

BK on Golson: we're seeing the kind of improvement that I need to see.

We saw improvement from Purdue to MSU with Everett Golson.

Golson and Open Receivers: In the game for a reason. Looking for improvement each week. Not just Sat, meetings, film study and practice.

Danny Spond can anchor the edge and is big and athletic.

Q: Signature wins - at Cincy did you have those games?
BK: Oregon St. first year and Rutgers second year.

We're 3-0. We didn't give out any rings yesterday to anybody. We have a long way to go.

Q: Team affected by Ireland?
BK: No

Q: Michigan games in the last few years - does the team bring it up?
BK: No. Just want to win.

Spond handled the injury well and once he was cleared he was 100% ready to go.

BK on Motta as a leader: It's probably one of the most remarkable developments from year two to year three in that sense.

He has been terrific back there. He's been physical, he's played the ball well.

Motta does more than get Shumate lined up

Players haven't talked about last year's finish against Michigan. They just want to learn from it and win.

BK on wristbands: I wouldn't take it off the table - to call offensive signals.

They're all fine. ]\/[ is cool dude who has been on here forever... although he making me exasperated right now LOL. Re-reading seems like one of those classic internet arguments that in real life would probably have been hashed out with both people coming to an agreement in 5 minutes. His overall point seems to be that Michigan has a higher quantity of guys that could conceivably play NFL football, whereas my original OP was intended to convey that there were a couple truly elite guys on MSU/Purdue and Michigan doesn't seem to have anyone on that tier.... and therefor we will have likely faced better individual talents at each position group over the past 2 games than what Michigan will put on the field. Not necessarily mutually exclusive ideas.

New guy #1 is trying his darndest to be respectful... which is more than I can say for a lot of our posters. New guy #2 is questionable.

Really not trying to start verbal venom, I just love cfb and I know you are some of the most competent fans in the nation. I love arguing/talking football with smart fan bases...aka noti ohio and little brother. If I have come off as arrogant and disrespectful to anyone I am truly sorry.
