Jade,

What you thinking on this one? I'm thinking MSU covers. I don't like all the questions with Boise. Just lost wayyyyy too many starters from last year.

Unfortunately I haven't followed either team real well during the off season but if both teams are roughly in the same spot as last year I say Michigan St. crushes Boise St. I have yet to see Boise St. play and/or win one game that has impressed me recently.

Just FYI...per Big Ten Network...they really like MSU this year.

A lot of guys back on a very good D and biggest questions seem to be new QB Maxwell (who has been in the system a couple years) and a number of new receivers (but as Maxwell was backup, these were many of the guys he was throwing to most of the time in practice while Cousins was throwing to the guys who left).

MSU should win by Atleast 10 IMO but I feel like Boise State will be very well prepared and possibly win.

Oregon, Virginia Tech, and Georgia were all supposed to beat Boise. Doesn't matter how many starters they lost, picking against BSU on a season opener is a risky move.

Completely agree. Most well coached/best talent evaluation in the country, at least based on all evidence we have right now. How could they not impress you? They beat the crap out of everyone they play for the most part. Last year, it was amazing to me that they could go in to Atlanta and just dominate a team that had all kinds of elite athletic talent. I know that UGA is not amazingly well coached, but still, it's amazing that they go in there and beat teams like that on the lines and then just go and outsmart and out game plan them too. If BSU's qb is good, expect them to win. I think it would be good for ND if BSU wins as well, but not nearly as bad for ND of course if Michigan State wins then if UM wins.

Yeah, I just really don't see Boise winning this game. MSU is a well coached, fundamentally sound football team. Their O-line and D-line will outclass Boise.

MSU wins by 14+ IMHO.

I doubt they win by 14+. It's possible, but Boise pretty much never gets trounced at all even if they lose. And this is the opener. Boise State probably has the best game-planning consistently of any program I've seen when you combine both sides of the ball. It's just so hard to know what Boise State is going to bring because we don't actually know who they have, except that kid ND recruited to play safety from Hawaii and he's going to start. But they have the coaching edge and they haven't been worn down by their schedule yet(depth wise) in the first game. I got Boise and if Michigan State wins, they are going to be really tough for ND to handle.

Sparty looks good. They are big and really playing well so far.
Let the game play out. Boise only has 5 or 6 returning starters total, which hardly means they are as strong as they have been in years past. I will say that Gholston looks like a beast though.

Boise's d-line is losing the battle for the most part. The biggest hit of the night might have been taking out that cheerleader.

Our lines are going to have to step up against MSU. Gotta stop the run and block Gholston. Should be a great game. Let's take care of Navy and Purdue first tho.
