I asked the ND football twitter account when can we see the uniforms vs. Navy and they responded that they're exactly the same as last years. I then mentioned the white/orange socks and Irish flag cleats and they said “@125NDFB: @ndfbequipment apologies, I thought you were just referring to the jersey and pants, which haven't changed. No sarcasm at all.”

Well that might look strange... no?

I'm thinking gold helmet with white stripe down the middle outlined by navy on both sides. But pants that color would be sick. I'd have to see how they actually looked on the players though

I think it's the helmet with the stripe as well. But, my original out in right field idea was that being the color of the numbers.

Also, do you think we put names on the jerseys so our over seas fans who may not have the grasp of that sort of thing can know who's who?

(I know the jersey being revealed in a few days is for the Miami game and not Dublin, just to clarify)

Don't get me involved in this, Bogsy. I've spent 30+ years wearing navy blue or gray suits. Granted, some of the blue suits had pale blue pinstripes and some of the gray suits were pale gray with pinstripes and others charcoal gray. My shirt color of choice tended to be white – sometimes with a button down collar, more often not. Ties were subdued with an occasional touch of red or gold.

I'm not a fan of the "disco ball" helmets. They're just too bright and glitzy. I wouldn't mind a shamrock or two on the helmet (melmet?) were they life size. Subdued and business-like is my choice. Keep in mind that I'm an old fart eligible to be accepted into the ND Nation fold.

I'm not at all fond of camo uni's or the uniform du jour trend. I want to be able to recognize a team without having to squint to read the graphics on my 13" CRT TV. STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF!!!

I have a feeling we are going to see the comeback of the gold jersey with green numbers, green pants and something similar to last years michigan helmet......Kelly loves the tradition but I think he understands how much fun little things like uniforms can be for the current players and RECRUITS more than anything.
