Oh Boy. About time. The earlier iteration of this had Gasol being part of the deal to someone and the Lakers getting Al Harrington back as part of the deal. Now they appear to have kept Gasol and get Howard. Wow.

You have to admit that was a horsesh!t move with no real logic other than Laker Envy. That was a fair trade that would have benefitted all teams involved. We'll keep Gasoline, though.

Show time!

Agreed. Even when he is hurt he has to travel Europe before taking care of the injury. Howard will be a 1000 times better then that.

than.

I'm honestly asking, doesn't Howard have injury issues also?? I don't really follow B Ball that much but that was my understanding of Howard.

If your from NE and like other NE teams, why do you like the Lakers?

It's a bit strange, but I've been a Laker fan since the Jamall Wilkes days. Magic as a rookie and ever since, they've been my team. I used to take a beating at HS parties 45 minutes outside of Boston watching Laker Celtic playoff games as the only LA fan to be found (early 80's). As an aside, I'm also a Steelers fan and grew up rooting for the Oakland A's, although they have been pretty tough to follow the last few years. Anyway, go LA. Can't wait to see Kobe, Nash, Howard, Gasol and World Peace getting after it.

Bynum gone(/dragonroar), Gasol stays, and the Lakers get D12? ...The lakers got the next best deal they could have after that snake in the grass David Stern ax'ed the CP3 deal. All of a sudden antoine jamison coming off the bench is starting to seem like a good fit...

...now if they could only dump MWP; i'd might even be impressed with Jim Bu.......nnaaahhhhhhhhh, what am I saying???

Exactly vato. MWP should go. He is past his prime, but Kobe, Howard, Nash, and gasol! It really does not matter who that 5th is.

They are still not better than the Heat or Thunder. Steve Nash can't play D, Gasol and Howard won't mash with Kobe's ego, and Kobe is past his prime. It's going to be 2004 all over again.

Sixers got a great deal out of this!

Yup!! Gonna be exciting this year. Wonder if we will trade Hawes? I'd rather keep him because Bynum has injury issues.

Starting 5.

1: Jrue Holiday
2: Evan Turner
3: Nick Young or Dorell Wright
4: Spencer Hawes
5: Andrew Bynum

Just saw we had to give up Moe Harkless to get him. Damn I liked him a lot.

I swear the NBA is rigged. It is almost unwatchable.

Only way it is rigged is if we DON'T get this trade approved....there is really no reason for it not to go through!! Still not better than the Thunder or the Heat on paper...but anything can happen in a 7 game series...If Kobe doesn't sh!t the bed late in two of those games against the thunder, the lakers could've easily have been up 3-1 in the series...FACT!!

Year after year, through varying generation of player, ownership, etc, the same teams experience trade windfalls over and over. All of these owners/GM's are smart. There is a salary cap. I don't buy this junk.

Much respect to the Antelope Valley.

So yeah... The Magic totally got fleeced in this. Had high hopes for Rob Hennigan(New Magic GM) he is a disciple of Sam Presti (OKC GM).

Looking back id honestly take the Nets proposal compared to this, time will tell.
