thanks LA. and Holy Crap, Romeo Okwara is absolutely huge. We may have gotten a steal there. Hopefully he has the talent to go with that massive build

This time of year there is simply not enough ND Football "content" or news. This is much appreciated, thanks and I know she is your beating heart, mine is for me.

Maybe I will stop up there with "wheels." My son Brendan, age 6, is playing flag football for the first time and has already been so designated (nicknamed) by both other coaches.

I had to laugh. I was so slow that they timed me in the forty with a sundial. (Not just because I am so old.) All seven of my kids have (or had) speed.

It is so fun to coach little kids in football, they have no idea what they are doing! So maybe we will drive up to the bend.

Hey it was my son getting the signed jersey by TJ. He was excited and it was really cool that he took the time to come over. You can really tell some of the players are really into the kids because they smile and actually go out of their way to come over for knuckles and fives. It is super crazy because I have almost the same pic you have with Teo and Kelly walking, you are just a little more to my left...feet placement and everything is almost to the exact camera snap, like I thought it was my photo on my camera... I don't know how to post a pic on here or I would post it to show close it is.

Nix's body may not be "perfect" by the usual definition, but there aren't many physiques better suited to the DT position. Thick as a motha****a.

So that was you? Crazy! That was awesome of you to take your family there...your son looked really happy that TJ went over and did that for him. If I recall correctly, Golson came right over and gave your son a high five too right? Golson seemed in great spirits that day.

Man, I can't believe more people don't do what you did. It's such incredibly easy access and so many of the players seemed really cool. In fact, not one player said no to autographs the 2 days I was there, so if I had a child that loved ND football, I'd be all over that too.

I can't wait until my daughter is older. My wife is really athletic and a great soccer player, and I was a decent athlete, so we're hoping she picks up on our love of sports. She's already a little beast - that girl has ZERO finesse and gentleness; her cousin (who is 11 months older) is already scared sh!tless of her LOL. At first we were thinking soccer, now we're thinking rugby unfortunately. Anyway...when she's old enough I'm taking her to every soccer, lacrosse, track, etc of ND. The access to the athletes of the smaller sports is just awesome, and I'm sure she'll fall in love with those athletes.

MOAR PICTURES!!!

Well, we find out either later today or tomorrow morning if my wife gets a 6 week temp job at ND (looks good - foot in the door type of thing), and she'd start tomorrow. Sooooooo, that means I'm Mr. Mom until I get hired to teach. If you don't think I'm taking a trip to ND at least once a week you're insane. My wife is amazing with her, so I'm gonna have to step my game up and do some activities - no better place than ND (the lakes, the Grotto, the bookstore, etc).

Anyways, tomorrow the entire practice is open to the media, and I'd love to see what it is like after practice with all the reporters that I follow trying to file stories and all that. IF my wife starts tomorrow, I'm taking the baby out there fo' sho'. I'll try and get more pics of different players...

It is pretty bad a$$ seeing the players and coaches up close like that. I wish I had someone take me over there when I was a kid to do the same thing. I believe practices were pretty much open to anyone willing to watch back in the day. Friday is my B Day so my family and I are going back over to practice and this is what they chose to do, I cant complain there...lol

Golson came over to give fives too and was in great spirits too. Last year we did the same thing and the entire Golic family was outside the gate waiting for Jake and Mike Jr. to come out. That was pretty cool as well. We didnt go up to them that day, but I have heard they are really open to pictures. So who knows maybe I will get one with them and not just of them this time...

Its really weird when you go to a function and notice someone and then find them on here. Had the same thing happen at the Kelly radio show last year at Legends. Quite funny actually.

The ND experience is incredible. I used to go out every year with my family until I was like 15. Great memories

Thanks bro...and she got the job! She's working in the Eck Center for the Alumni Dept. It's a temporary job but she has her foot in the door, and she's a phenomenal worker with an incredible work ethic so I'm confident it'll turn into something full-time, and so is her contact in human resources.

I was there today, and took more pics, but they are on the other computer which is being used right now, so they'll have to wait. Pretty tame day.

And yes, that was Amir Carlisle, #3. We said what's up to him and good luck and he was really cool about it. (now that would've been funny if he had said thanks and he was really Davonte Neal)...

I'd also recommend Potowatomi zoo. Before she started working my sister used to walk her to young children around the zoo regularly. I think summer passes are cheap, its pretty small so you don't have to spend all day there and kids love animals. Just a thought.
