Probably the best point is that recruiting is far more sophisticated a process than we record here. I am a perfect example. I oversimplify and generalize all of the time. It probably is never really "that one way" or another. But probably the truth is in the middle.

Too bad we cannot find a catch all for the kind of guy that has a different focus than is required to be successfull at Notre Dame. There are a lot of them, and they really are not all bad.

I mean we could tell you, but then we would need to kill you.

I think Michigan's rule about visiting after committing plays a large part in his recruitment, he wants to visit other schools (I would too!).

He told ISD, at Gridiron Kings, that he wants to see Brady Hoke's pro-style offense this season before considering a pledge.

Y'all better hope you don't poop the proverbial bed this year...

If Denard gets his leg broke, like Alabama plans on doing, shitting the proverbial bed is a given.

How's the Toussaint thing coming along?

Once Urban starts winning games Hoke is going to have to drop that "cult" rule because Urban will recruit kids hard for a visit just to test it.

Michigan will stay a shotgun, zone-running team as long as Denard is the quarterback.

That is from the B1G media days, Michigan wont be running much of a pro style system this year. I'm sure it will be sprinkled in, but if they ran it all year they would poop the bed. Michigan doesn't have the receivers (no big outside threat) or QB to run a pro style offence right now.

That's interesting. I have seen several quotes from Quan alluding to this. What do you think the staff has been telling him in regards to this year's stategy? Because it sure sounds like he is expecting to see how he would be utilized in a pro set this season. I can't imagine that he would be happy to see the same offense as last year.

But I agree with you that they should stick to what their strengths are, and that would be spread teams out and let Denard do his thing.

Interesting...

Treadwell's recruitment is probably being handled by Shane Morris just as much as the staff. I'm sure Hoke and Co. are telling him he's the future of the program, and Morris is reinforcing that at various 7 on 7's.

Example from Gridiron Kings:

Derek Tyson‏@DerekTysonESPN
Morris and Treadwell are starting to develop a nice connection out here. Several hookups on the day. #Wolverines #GridironKings

Bryan Fischer‏@BryanDFischer
It's been Shane Morris to LaQuon Treadwell all day for the Midwest team, best kind of recruiting pitch a QB can make to a WR...

Shane Morris/LaQuon Treadwell developing chemistry

per Rivals may visit ND before the end of August. Reiterated after his Ole Miss visit that Michigan is still the leader but others still in contention are Michigan State, Iowa, Auburn, Florida, Illinois, LSU, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Chemistry only works in a lab or with romance.

I don't think Michigan or Morris have the quan.

The list changed slightly.

Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Michigan State and Notre Dame. UF pushing to get an OV as well.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma state will probably get officials since he has family there. Two SEC schools will probably get officials as well. Michigan still leads but is not a lock.
