When they showed USC had lost 33% of their recruits, I thought for sure they were going to bring us up again.

+1000. As a personal example, our lacrosse team never recruits oodles of "5:s:" talent and rarely has a class in the top 10... do we quake in fear of Duke, UNC, UVA, Maryland, Syracuse? No. We just go out and beat them with our "inferior" talent.

I promise you the players on our roster could give a crap about USC's recruiting. Like DCIrish says, you know USC is going to be good. You just have to take care of your own business. And right now, our class is pretty damn good. That's what we should be focusing on.

this is EXACTLY what i wanted to say in the "rule of 3"...our mentalility has been we are going to loose...i can feel it as a fan! can you imagine then what the players are thinking...i am seeing a lot less timid looking players on our team and more players wanting the big stage! i trully believe BK's belief's are FINALLY being bought into...the players are understanding what they have to do in order to win...if anyone is a mma fan a great example would be GSP and david loiseau...both can only beat themselves when they are on their game...gsp has the strong mind and doesn't allow negative thoughts to enter his brain while david could be on another planet w/ his skills unfortunately he freezes/lacks the mental strength and cripples under pressure. the moment our team got down in games we never were able to swing the momentum enough and it all starts w/ believing in themselves

Totally agree, a program like Oregon doesn't get top 10 classes every year, but USC and just about everybody else has had no idea how to stop them. It's all about getting players to fit your system and developing them. Va Tech is another good example of this.

Matt Fortuna talked not a non-ND guy like May, Palmer etc.

Griese talked on Golson & Hendrix, thinks Hendrix starts, didn't seem like he really knew anything about Golson though

Watch the game for the last two yrs? We won last yr, and beat ourselves this yr..

Talking about Michigan getting that number 1 vote. They interviewed the guy from the Champaign News Gazette (yes, from Champaign, IL) and he was a fool. He basically said Denard was better than Barkley.

We did get some positive mention though. Don't know the guy's name but one of the analysts basically said that ND will beat Mich this year. Overall, I have seen some good things come from CFL lately.
