Besides ND, they have always played atleast one more heavy hitter in CFB. Next year IMO, is an exception.

I don't know, in 2014 their back playing Appalachian State Mountaineers, what a wonderful treat that would be if they lost to them again. Now granted they have 3 other TBD games, but I wouldn't hold your breath that they will be filling those 3 with any legit powerhouses. I guess we can wait and see though.

Traditionally, Michigan takes on tough OOC games. Sometimes you can't get these games done because the schedules are made so far in advance. ND went through a spell like that but I believe former AD White had a hand in it.
