Hey Irish Envy!!
I need your help with some questions I have about ND football history. First, let me tell you why I'm asking these questions. Some of you may remember that I make an ND football schedule every year that you can print out and keep track of the wins/losses and the score every week. I try to make each schedule design a little different every year and this season, in honor of ND's 125th year of football, I'm trying to make this year's design feature some of the greatest ND players/coaches and stats of the past 125 years. My first question is about stats since I don't completely trust Wikipedia and I can't find these stats anywhere else on the internet.

How many Consensus All-Americans has Notre Dame had? Wikipedia says 96.

How many players/coaches does Notre Dame have in the College Football Hall of Fame? Wikipedia says 49, but I don't think that's right since I know this doesn't include Dave Casper who was just picked this year.

I know Notre Dame has won 11 National Championships and has had 7 Heisman Trophy Award winners, so I'm good with those stats. I would just appreciate it if anyone could help me with these questions.

Now, I'm going to try and incorporate as many pictures of some of the greatest Notre Dame players and coaches in the last 125 years in my design, but there's only so much room I have to work with. So, with that in mind, here's the list of coaches and players I have pictures of and what I'd like to know is if there's anyone I missed that I must include. Remember, I'm not going to be able to use all of the pictures I have now, so just let me know if what I have is good enough and if not, who I absolutely must add to the list.

COACHES (listed alphabetically by first name):
Ara Parseghian
Brian Kelly
Dan Devine
Frank Leahy
Knute Rockne
Lou Holtz

Stonebreaker. Defensive stud for the 88 team.
Emil Sitko. Two time all american. Never lost a game at ND. Top 10 NFL draft pick. Seventh all-time rusher at ND, 6 yards a carry.

That's all the players that come to my mind that I don't see.

I can think of a lot, but so as not to dilute my suggestion: NICK BUONICONTI!!! Two-time All-American and NFL hall-of-famer, and captain of the undefeated Dolphins. --- and an absolutely GREAT guy.

Ralph Guglielmi (Coll HOF) replaces Quinn. Drop T'eo and Eifort for incompletes. Rudy doesn't belong with any list of ND greats. Bill Fischer (Outland winner), Bob Golic, Bob Crable, and Pete Duranko. Replace Harrison Smith with the former Giant great, Dick Lynch.

I would suggest getting yourself a Media Guide to help with the questions and tons of other info too. Should be able to get it at the bookstore.

For player suggestions, here it goes:
Dave Casper
Darius Walker
Tom Carter
Bobby Taylor
Reggie Brooks
Ray Zellars
Lee Becton
Marc Edwards
Frank Stams
Pat Terrell
Derrick Mayes
Andy Heck
Tim Ruddy
Bryant Young

That is all I can think of right now. I'll come back when I think of othes.
