Yeah, we should negatively rep him for that one. Anyone that says Greg Little gets it too.

Chris Donald is okay to mention though....

Well, maybe. But that's only because he was moved to DE at the begging of the season at Tennessee which is a position that he specifically didn't want to play.

BTW, don't ask about Ben Martin, Lorenzo Edwards, or any of the other guys either.

I voted Johnson but was torn between him and DC....I think Crist will actually help the development of JC and start the non-rebuilding process at Notre Dame!

This from a free section of Scout:

Q: Who do you think will end up having the number one recruiting class? And what big time players should we watch out for as freshman coming in? Nick, Atlanta, Georgia

A: Notre Dame has gone wire to wire thus far as the Scout.com No. 1 ranked team in recruiting. One would think they could possibly lose some prospects because of their 3-9 season. That has not happened yet nor do I think it will. Perhaps they could lose a prospect or two, but usually that happens to everyone. That’s recruiting.

Who can catch the Irish? Georgia? I don’t think so because the Dawgs have only one more scholarship to give. Maybe another or two with attrition but it’s hard to say. Regardless Mark Richt is bringing in an outstanding group.

FSU? I don’t think the Seminoles will close with enough juice to catch Notre Dame.

UCLA? If anything, the Bruins will drop in the rankings because of a (potential) coaching change. Committed prospects could end up elsewhere. But it may not be as bad as people think, depending on who comes in.

USC? You betcha. I think the Trojans will close with a flurry and could possibly catch the Fighting Irish and take claim to the top recruiting class in the country once again. They are on an array of big time prospects and USC will land their share. With 25 scholarships, they will be tough to beat.

In regards to the other part of your question it’s hard to say at this point without combing through all the recruiting classes and cross referencing that with depth charts and team needs. Looking at the Scout.com National 100 I do believe A.J. Green (Summerville, S.C.) could make an instant impact in Athens. I also believe Julio Jones (Foley, Ala.) will make a big splash no matter who he signs with. Safeties Will Hill (Jersey City, N.J.) and Dee Finley (Auburn, Ala.) will likely see significant time in the Gator secondary in ’08. I believe all the USC offensive tackle commits will have a chance to contribute for the Trojans (Matt Khalil, Matt Meyer and Tyron Smith). Defensive lineman Ethan Johnson (Portland, Ore.) should make a big difference for the Notre Dame defense next year, as will a few of his future teammates from this class like Omar Hunter (Buford, Ga.). Other potential impact players are Aldarius Johnson (Miami), Aaron Williams (Texas), Brendan Beal

I am geeked about ALL of them. They are all top notch talents and have shown great class in sticking with ND. They will get a great payback of two things. First and most important, a top notch education. Second, they will get to play in more than one BCS bowl game. They are helping to set a fantastic table for the ND Irish Nation. Thanks to them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had to pick one, I think it would be John Goodman. He was the first WR to jump on board when ND really needed WRs. And, I think he is a tremendous player who will make a name for himself with the Irish.

This class is so stacked, it was tough, but I went with Filer (although Hunter and Floyd were huge, as well). I just think he'll bring that linebacking corp into national recognition, and quickly.

Agreed Gip. I was gettin excited reading all the posts then I saw that. Anyways, I'm with the majority, I'm lookin forward 2 seein this Mike Floyd kid play. I think he emerges as the 3rd WR maybe even better. He will be a force. The catch I saw of him one handing it and keepin his feet it was the most impressive catch I have ever seen. It made me tempted to change my screen name 2 Clausen2Floyd...I also am lookin forward 2 seein Filer play cuz he is prolly the most athletic LB we've recruited in along time and I think he will be a great one before he leaves. He just needs to add some bulk. I see him starting his Soph year. That Johnson kid I am excited about 2. Reminds me a lot of Everson Griffin last year. Kid is a beast and will require double teams throughout his career. You know how bad Petey wanted him? He has tremendous talent.
