I guess you would have to include the '72 olympics at Muchich to be a sports tv moment. Probably # 1 if you include it at all.

One that I'll never forget (huge Lakers fan) was when Magic had the press conference to announce his retirement due to HIV. I was sick for a month.

Yeah, most people from our generation, sports fans or not, remember where they were when Magic announced his disease.

BTW, I almost listed the '72 Olympics too...tragic.
