Working Graveyard Now. Any tips?

Back when we were first married, my wife and I worked a three day week. S-M-T, 8PM to 8AM. We got two 1 hour breaks each night. Got off Wednesday morning and had the rest of the week to play. Sometimes we'd head to Florida for a mini vacation.

I work with a lot of foreign nationals immigrants etc. and somebody always microwaves the nastiest smelling fish every day.

~2 years into working the graveyard and I'm completely functional now. Only thing that sucks is that I'm on a two-week rotation regarding days off, so it's kind of hard to ever actually do anything since I only get a "weekend off" every two weeks. I would imagine that if I worked Su-Th nights, it would be quite awesome, especially since we get paid a night and Sunday differential.

I have even on shift work for 10 years now. I don't know if I could go back to a "regular job". We did switch our rotations though to 2 weeks of days and then 2 weeks of nights and I hate it compared to our other schedule. Nights are nice not to deal with the admin.

We do 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off. You get every other weekend off but the bad thing about that is now if you want to use any time nobody wants to work now which sucks consider my shift is at the min.
