Somewhat surprisingly, David Pollock picked us to beat USF, and, less surprisingly, Robert Smith did too. Kirk Herbstreit refused to actually make a pick, but was quite clear that he thought that USF could win. Smith's view, the most strongly stated, was that our defense would rule the day, and generally was a powerful unit. Pollock, paradoxically, cited Kelly's "second year" offensive leap upwards. He still did not believe that we had any real speed however. [although he featured Floyd and Riddick in his remarks].

Seems like a fair assessment.

I asked Pollack if you would have the guts to admit on air he was wrong should the D prove him wrong.
