1. The Irish have to replace three offensive linemen.
2. Penn State, Michigan and USC.
3. The Irish will struggle to cover on defense. Sure, speed has been injected, but it's still young speed. And young speed makes mistakes.
4. Who will be the yin to Jeff Samardzija's yang? Maurice Stovall? Gone. Anthony Fasano? Gone.
ok last i checked ND only loses 2 offensive linemen not 3. we actually will only have to fill one spot because we rotated sully and morton. Not to mention we brought in the number one offensive linemen class in the country bar none.
Penn State loses a ton of players and we play them early in the season, Michigan hasn't won in South Bend since 94', and USC lost alot also, and we almost beat them this season with all the talent they had.
Pass coverage can only get better, Wooden and Richardson made big strides this year, next seaon they could be a solid group, you can never underestimate experience on the college level.
Rhema Mcknight comes back, he may be more valueable than Stovall was because he can open up the field more, and is a better athlete. The loss of Fasano won't be much of a blow for us IMO, Carlson looks like the real deal, and Weis seems to love his game.
This guy really needs to do his homework before he writes such an article.
