Even being talked about in the NC picture? I heard the idiots on the OSU-Wisconsin game saying this was a must win for the Buckeyes if they want to stay in the NC chase.

If a 32 point loss keeps you in the mix, there is something wrong with this system. I know that there was a Big 12 team a few years back (Nebraska?) that did not even make their conference title game and still ended up in the BCS title game, which is just as bad.

As much as it pains me to say, if we were to win out from here, a 16-point loss should preclude us from ANY consideration. Not that their won't be like 43 1-loss teams at the end of the year.

Because they are Ohio State. Which bugs me, because I can not stand them!

Because if they win out, and there are no other undefeated teams, then they may have a shot at it. They only have one loss. They are just as much in it as anyone else who was talked about as a contender at the start of the season. I know they got handled by 'SC, but if they blow through the rest of their schedule, including a possibly Top 5 Penn State, then people might consider that they are not the same team that lost to 'SC. Their offense is certainly much different, with Pryor and Wells, than it was with Boeckman and whatever mediocre backup TB they had in there.

just saying we beat purdoodoo by 17, they beat em by 14 and only had 20 points

Oh, yay. Transitive college football. :banghead2

Ball State and Duke are better than Florida via Ole Miss and Navy.

Shall we start a thread where we show how the University of Phoenix Online is the best team in the country with transitive college football?

Penn State is gonna kick anOSU in the nuts (pun intended) in their own house. Then we won't need to listen to any more of this NC talk silliness for anOSU.

Anyone forget last year where #1 and #2 kept failing miserably? Thats how they snuck in last time. tOSU will not lose the rest of the year, even against PSU. History shows us that PSU will flop a game or 2 in the Big1(1)0.

Oklahoma got absolutely hammered by KState in the Big12 Championship, but still managed a BCS Championship invite. IMO if you cannot win your conference you have no business being the championship game.

I think Pryor is a bit overhyped to this point. He may be a freak in time, but he has quite a few weapons around him, and they hung a fat 17 on the Badgers. ESPN/ABC in particular has a hard-on for anyone they can remotely compare to Vince Young.

If we win out with victories at Chapel Hill and at USC, we have just as much claim to a BCS title game as Ohio State. I am not saying we deserve to be there, just that we are just as much in the picture as the Suckeyes.

How's Vince Young hanging in the NFL? Guess ESPN/ABC needs to get its nut somewhere else. Still, I was glad to see him lead Texas over USC.
