I'm not a fan of cats. They spit up hairballs, go ANYWHERE they damn well please, shed EVERYWHERE and, if not declawed, ruin furniture, etc. when they use them as a scratching post.

Not gonna make this into a cat vs. dog thing but just airing some things out. Dogs are quite larger so naturally shed more hair, dogs pop water beds and eat sunglasees (both personal expierences), and yes cats do use furniture as a scratching post which does suck. Dogs need to be takin outside at least twice a day to do their business while cats just do their business when they have to and you clean up aferwards. If you have a dog and want to sleep in on weekends too bad, you are going outside at 6am on saturday. Dogs have to be the least independant animals alive! Man's best friend? What man wants a needy b**ch? FYI, my buddy has a 85lb black lab and i've had to take care of it numerous times so that's where my stories come from.

I think big cats are cool, but I don't really like house cats. Thank goodness we couldn't have one because of my sister, but several of my friends have had them and I know that I would never want one in my house.

cats are great. go on vacation and all you have to do is fill a ginormous bowl with dried food and leave the toilet lids up. a dog costs $30 a day to board.
