Be the best player on his TEAM much less the country? Let's start there. Then let's talk about actually being relevant as a top QB in any of the major statistical measures.

In years past didn't you have to at least have the semblance of being a high character guy? Bush, Newton, Manziel, the potential issues with Winston, I don't like how it's trending. If I had a vote I would not validate anyone I suspected of not exemplifying the best in college football, regardless of statistics. Why give that stage and that award to someone who will use that profile intentionally or not, to further corrupt the standard we want everyone to strive for?

Read up on Williams and you'll be a supporter of him for Heisman. High character, intelligent kid.
