WVU @ Louisville - Louisville
Louisville @ Rutgers - Rutgers
Rutgers @ WVU - WVU

Could work out nice. It'll take a lot of luck though. These three pretenders (plus Pitt, perhaps) stealing each other's prime BCS spot would be just, perfect.

I'll say this much. After tonight, I feel better about Rutgers' chances of beating either of these teams.

This is a lot of turnovers, missed tackles, receivers falling down untouched and personal fouls. It's almost too bad all of the lights didn't go out. Were it not for the single digits in front of these teams, Herbie and crew would be complaining about the quality of play. But once ESPN suckles a team, they have to continue to do so.

I know, I'm just playin... but I think we can safely say we'll stop hearing any business about how Slaton has an outside shot at the heisman. I agree with you about ESPN though, he fumbled twice in two carries and Herbie's still talkin him up. (and he's the reasonable one!)

So if Rutgers beats both of them, do they jump us in the polls and BCS standings?

I don't have much faith in Rutgers, but I think it's possible they win. The key is that the game vs Louisville is in NJ. Rutgers might just have the D to beat Louisville. If they show up to play their best, and Schiano schemes right, and Rice runs the hell out of the ball- they can win. That'd be great. I hated the crowning of Louisville tonight, when they're going on the road to face an undefeated team with a ferocious D next week. Louisville almost got beat by Cinci. Rutgers is Cinci on steroids. WVU had no d whatsoever.

If Rutgers can stop Brohm and those tall receivers, who looked outstanding last night, they have a chance. They will run the ball on Lo'ville. Rice is on par with or close to the level of Slaton and Lo'ville had no answer for WV's rushing attack. This will be a very interesting matchup in the Jerz.

By the way, I liked Schiano from what I saw on the halftime show. Seemed like a solid character. Anyone else have opinions? I was also talking with some buddies about whether Schiano ought to stay at Rutgers, assuming he gets a long extension, or look at a small step up the ladder at a place like Michigan State (should he get the opportunity). My feeling is that Rutgers can become a top program in its conference, what with NJ's solid HS talent and the Big East's traditional weakness, while MSU will forever be struggling to meet high (Top 25) expectations under a reality where they will struggle to ever be the top program in their state, much less their conference.
