What Makes ND Special?

I know that alot of people watch the Fightin Irish on their televisions at home and live and die with every win. But there is just something special about being on campus for game day. Some of the things that make the trip to South Bend special for me are 1)sitting in ND Stadium with my 3 year old son Trevor, (just like my father used to do with me). 2)Tailgating....enough said!!!! 3)touring the campus (enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere at the Grotto). 4)Spending a disgusting amount of money on souvies(a horribly disgusting amount).5)Going to the pep rally (if you haven't gone...make sure that you do (it will get the blood pumping!!!!) I was just wondering if anyone would share special memories or traditions that they do when they visit the campus?

-Friday Night Drinking!
-Waking up at 5am and wondering where i am
-tailgating!
-the Grotto
-Watching the band and following in to stadium
-always sitting next to an enormous man that takes up 2 seats and getting yelled at by person who is supposed to be sitting next to me on other side because they think i'm in their seat
-"Here Come The Irish"
-National Anthem

LMAO Have you ever woke up Saturday in South Bend so sick from the night before and didn't care how much you spent on tickets, hotel, gas, etc.... and thought that there was no way in God's green Earth that you were going to make it to the game???? FYI... I made it to the game!! GO IRISH!!!!

hahahaha! yep! just last year for the bc game. was in terrible shape saturday morning - held the same beer for the first few hours that morning! (And paid for a hotel we didn't even stay at)

Domer- That is hysterical!!!! I know that feeling. Basically you are holding the same drink just for pictures. I think we've all been there.

I didn't drink much before the Pitt game last year.

Jack and Coke afterward. If I had the equipment, I would have mainlined it into my veins.

After beating Michigan last year, talk about a blowout....I woke up during the second half of the Bears game on Sunday. Awesome.
