to do with the tax giveaway (loan) from the federal stimulus bill?

I was thinking donating some to IE (or you could join Varsity Club), ND gear, perhaps some select movies.

why does the fed want to stimulate Bill? nothing good can come of that.

Junkhead, you might want to add some more to the rebate check. if she gets elected, she's gonna need to find a way to pay for "free" healthcare for all!

it snowed TWICE in a week here in ATL.

i think this rebate thing is a crock though as far as the $300 for a child. Those kiddies don't start really costing you until AFTER they are over 17.

If you are married and have a kid....you can get 10 season tickets to the UC bearcats!!!! Or you could get two tickets to a ND game and still have money left over to buy two hotdogs and split a beer.

SI, are you serious? Young children cost a-plenty. Not like a car or insurance I suppose, but the $300/child will certainly be of benefit to a single-income household.

All the same, my rebate is going towards my ND season ticket. ;)

totally serious.

Little kids wear kid sized clothes. The difference in costs when they grow into adult sized clothing is huge. My boys were in adult sizes by 8th grade. Plus, its tougher getting away with Kohls when they want American Eagle.

Litle kids play Saturday sports at the YMCA or church leagues for around $100 a season. Older kids play club ball and no matter what sport, its a huge jump. I estimated once we spent over $30,000 total for club soccer for one kid over the 10 years he played.

Older kids can work but that is really a drop in the bucket when you consider how little time they have between school and sports (or whatever extras they do). My kids paid their own car insurance and spending money.

High school is the killer. I spent $2000 on senior year. Prom, homecoming, yearbooks, senior ad, senior pictures, class ring, graduation announcements, graduation parties etc. it was a bloodletting

i would rather have gone without the child credits from 0-5 years and had them 15-20:)

She's just whining because she has to pay out of state tuition.
