Isn't this like the 4th accusation of sexual assault for USC in like the past 2 years? I know football players and sexual assault (sadly) go together like franks and beans, but geez...

Couldn't he find a willing girl? Come on, it's college. If he randomly threw a rock chances are it would have hit a loose chick. The only thing easier than getting laid in college is Theater 101.

Peteeee, Peteeee, Peteeeee, you should have gone while you were hot ala Jimmie Johnson. It's gonna hard to market yourself after NCAA restrictions and half of your athletes suspended.

Also, I know that Pete's gonna come after Clausen w/a vengence now. No, him verballing to ND wont stop him from pushing. Never has bothered him in the past. I don't think Jimmie would switch, It just shows what a snake Pete is.

Don't convict him yet.

There is way too much that is unknown right now in order to rush to judgement.

EXACTLY and I seem to remember that we were pursing him rather hard before he went over to the Dark Side. Also, I saw one account that had Brian Cushing involved/arrested as well.

This Bush & Co. is having as bad a week as the other Bush & Co.

True That Jigga, I wouldn't want to see any kid dragged through the mud. Let's wait until it's all out!

I will say that the bond was pretty heavy. Do they have strong evidence?
Been looking but it's been real quite in the media. I noticed the USC bandwagon fans are running for cover. If this turns out to be true it still wouldn't be any NCAA violations. Still, I think between this, Bush, and all the other things going on at USC I think it shows a real lack of institutional controls and the average character of USC recruits.

I'm not one to rush to judgement, but the heafty bail suggest they DA has the dirt.

I'm someone who believes that it is better that we let 10 guilty criminals free instead of inprisoning a innocent man who was wrongly convicted....so I'll wait until I hear more before I crack on USC. But, you gotta love the timing of this accusation as the incidents associated with SC continue to mount. One more should push them past the U.

Guff, did you go to ND? Most popular T-shirt when I was there:

Front: Sex Kills
Back: So go to Notre Dame and live forever

I guess the bail amount is "standard" for this kind of thing out in L.A.

Also, the apartment complex where Sanchez was living has involved a handful of other players in recent run ins with the law. Not sure if there is a connection to that or not, but we'll see.

Why are freshmen living in apartments and not on campus. Doesn't SC have dorms?

Don't you know? They're football stars! They have to be protected from the stress of going to class!

Err... I mean, the stress of living on-campus with the regular students!

Are ND freshman required to stay on campus?

I went to a I-AA "state" school with 11,000 students and you had to live in the dorms on campus if you were a freshman or a sophomore transfer. Junior transfers could go off campus their first year.

For Cushing and Sanchez to be living in an apartment complex and not in a dorm if dorms are available troubles me. It think it is a good idea for freshmen to be in the dorms on campus.

As i sit here and think about this, reality has set in. I know that we ALL despise USC and what they stand for and if Sanchez did it, I hope he gets what is coming to him, but I REALLY hope that this is not true. I feel like an inconsiderate A-Hole because as much as I get entertained by the thought that a USC player is under investigation, I am now hoping that it did not happen. Until a little bit ago, I never thought about the girl who may have been violated in this incident. $hit like this pi$$es me off to hear about and if he is found guilty then I truly hope he gets his.

Sometimes there are more important things that go on in life besides football and this is one of them.

there's never any winners in these things either way. Either he did it, in which case no amount of "justice" will ever make up for what he did to that girl. Or he didn't do it...in which case she's lying and likely trying to just latch on to a big time prospect at a big time program, and has sullied his name irrevocably. I'm not sure which outcome is "better."

Yes when I was there. Actually, I thought ND football players were supposed to stay on campus all 4 years - though I do not know how stricly enforced that was.

Technically they 'stayed on campus' by having a mailbox in their respective dorms, but some lived OC. We nearly had this arrangement w/ Dean Lytle in Grace in '95. Frosh had to stay on campus.

Yeah, I didn't think many stayed, but they were supposed to, weren't they?
