Man, I'd love to have gone to that despite my hatred for Screamin' A Smith.

Last week's SI (Lance Armstrong on cover) had a great article about SAS.

So hard for me to take him seriously. He truly gets a rise out of people. Even me. But I agree with him on some points, too. He does his job better than anyone...people can't stand him, but the ratings are up because people watch due to the fact they hate him so much.

Brilliant.

Great show! Weis definitely sold me on what he has planned with the program. Lou was great as always. Charmming as ever.

Best part of the show was when the audience member asked about Urban Meyer and Charlie boldly states, "who cares about Urban Meyer". That was beautiful. I don't think those two care for each other.

"There were too many excuses in place for them being mediocre. Academics are too tough, schedule's too tough. I mean, everywhere I turned around there was another excuse being made."

"I've been groomed under guys that you don't make excuses. I think that you just address the tough issues that you need to deal with and turn negatives into positives, turn cons into pros, and I think you can get your finger on the pulse of both the team and the university and get it back to where it needs to be."

This is the leader ND has been waiting for.

Sounds like a great t-shirt idea. I'm on it.

That could be interpretted two different ways now. People in Florida and SEC country could take that as a good thing. If the hype about Meyer is true, which I believe it is, Florida fans should be making that quote into t-shirts. I say somebody needs to have a new ND football shirt. It should say "Notre Dame Football" on the front and then in the back "The Weis Guys" or "Weis Guys" or have an actual quote from Weis himself, like the sentence in which Weis describes the "nasty" attitude.

They have a 'nasty' shirt already that is pretty cool.
