I know it would take a miracle from GOD and every star in the universe would have to align BUT the Irish are not completely out of the running for the #4 spot just yet. Again, I know this is stretch but still possible.

#1 Miss State needs 2 losses minimum: @ #5 Bama, @ #10 Ole Miss, SEC Chipper. Would 2 losses give ND the nod?
#2 FSU would need to lose 3 games so I just hope the win out to help ND's SOS.
#3 Oregon needs to lose 2 games: @ Oregon State and PAC 12 Chipper. Highly unlikely.
#4 TCU needs to lose 2 more games: Kansas, Iowa State, @ Texas. Would 2 losses give ND the nod?
#5 Bama needs to beat #1 Miss State, lose to #9 Auburn, lose in the SEC Chipper. Would 2 losses give ND the nod?
#6 Baylor needs to lose 2 more games: OK State, Texas Tech, #12 K-State. Would 2 losses give ND the nod?
#7 ASU needs to lose 2 more games: @ Oregon St, Wash St, @ #17 Arizona, PAC 12 Chipper. Could happen...

T town, I want your honest opinion. Auburn lost...finally, it was going to happen. So will any school from Miss. But not so much Saban, you guys run the table? I mean through the playoffs.

You guys, fucking hate to say it, are my pick to go. Reason being IMO is because you're the best team every time a foot steps on the field...pretty simple.

If I hear a Mississippi in this discussion...just no.

Thought at the beginning of the year there were two games we had to win. We lost one of them and won the other. At this point, I like our chances with who we have left... not so much that either team is not as good as us (they have the talent to beat us)... but the fact that we play them at home. Get to the SEC championship and who knows - probably Ga again. I would think that we would be in as good a position as the remaining teams. I do know this... whoever walks away with the NC this year is gonna have to earn it. Some really solid teams out there.

Realistic Upsets that could happen this weekend:

#5 Bama over #1 Miss State (time to see if Dak is really that good)

#25 Minnesota over #8 Ohio State (game is at Minnesota, coming off their biggest game of the year)

#15 Georgia over #9 Auburn (game is at Athens, Auburn could be lagging from defeat)

West Virginia over #13 K-State (game is at WVU, K-State could be lagging from defeat)\

#20 Wisconsin over #16 Nebraska (game is at Madison, is Abdullah 100%?)

#22 Georgia Tech over #19 Clemson (game is at Ga Tech, option is tough to stop)

5 Weeks left. Sit back and watch the carnage happen. If you honestly don't know that "Chipper" is short for Championship, then I feel bad for you.

This may not be the tread for this remark but I have been waiting to say this for a few days. Are you guys getting the rants around the country on 'since we beat so and so suddenly they're no good'. Its amazing how people from other fan bases don't like that shoe when put on their foot. Irish aren't a top four team this year but they certainly are worthy of a quality bowl game but man when that shoe is put on the other guys foot he complains his %$# off. Are you hearing me SEC fan base. Give it a rest. Me thinks it may have something to do with your out of conference schedule. They certainly have a tough go of it in conference ( maybe ) but as I said many many times play the schedule Notre Dame plays in all parts of the country, against all types of schemes , in all types of weather conditions, against everyone playing their super bowl then come to me and tell me about your in conference schedule. Hey-I got an idea-drop Alcorn A&M and Coastal Carolina and play Navy.
