This loss doesnt affect us as far as bowls are concerned, but like everyone else i really wanted to beat USC. I was dissapointed with are level of emotion and intensity to start the game, but i thought we played as well as we could. Couple of plays we should've made here and there but overall we played as well as our talent dictates. If charlie is as good as we all think he is, we will have our day soon. Got to get that speed on defense. I'm so proud of my boy Brady tonight. He's all heart and any NFL team that gets him will be lucky. Hey, our 2 losses are to the #2 and #3 teams in the country. We're just not at there level, but hopefully soon charlie will take us there.

I think we'll have a good shot at whomever we play in a bowl game. After Ohio st., Mich, and USC i think we are as good as any other team out there. Florida does'nt impress me at all. I'd be slightly concerned about possibly facing an LSU team though. On a different note, i agree that a coaching change needs to be made on defense, but lets be honest here, i don't think Bill Belichick could do anything with our secondary. We need SPEED in the secondary , and some serious pass rushers coming off the edge. Hmmmm, seems like we were saying the exact same thing last year after the fiesta bowl. Cmon charlie, get out there and get us an LT and an Ed reed for our defense.

Next year will be exciting, though. There won't be any expectations and we'll have a very young team. I look forward to it, tbh. It's about time we see some new faces.

now before BGI throws recruiting stats at me for saying this, I do know the 93 team had much more depth and PT before that season than we will have now, BUT that team was supposed to be a step down from a team laced with stars and look how they did?? You never know how the team will gel next year, could be something special...

It will be a fun year... and the lowered expectations will make the games we shouldn't win better when we do and take those loses that may come from lack of experience and make them more understandable as well... personally I am looking forward to it and expect there to be shades of 93...

We just better not lose to Boston College and/or Michigan State. Those are the only two games I really care about because you don't win anything by beating them.....you just feel like complete shit for losing. Fredo's due for an ass-kicking.

Trying to say this and not be negative, but to say that the 93 team had more depth and PT then what we have going into next year is an understatement. Now I don't know who is coming back next year, and if I did know I am not sure I would want some of them coming back but next year might be brutal. Man the talent that we have coming in next year combined with this years crop of freshman is going to make it exciting to watch. I just hope that we don't expect to much to early, because we are going to be extremely young. I think realistic goals for next year are 8 wins and New Years Day bowl. Anything more then that is icing on the cake. Now three years from now we should all be talking title again and USC should be very worried. By the way USC is a home game in 3 years, so that sets up nice.

Look I mean I'm willing to lower my standards some because we will be young, but I still expect better then 6-6 or 7-5, lol. It really just all depends on how the freshman respond at all the key positions. Our offensive talent could be raw but very scary...is it September yet? lol

Lets also remember that the schelule will be a bit easier the next couple of years. that is assuming the teams that are on the schedule now don't dramatically improve. Plus in 2-3 years, the roster will be 100% weis players.
