My high school senior just got accepted to USC. Still waiting to hear from ND admissions. Hope we get a big envelope from ND soon. Gonna be ugly at home between her and her sister (ND10) during football season. Guess I'm staying neutral during the game....sucks.

I would go to USC in a heart beat if i got in.

California weather, California girls, ... California! As much as I hate their football/basketball programs, I think going to U$C would be awesome, especially since I have been a Hoosier all my life.

Nice campus, awful area. But she wants to get into neuro science research. Think USC has a pretty good medical program. BTW, her sister is doing her masters at UCLA. It's gonna be triple ugly.

The ND/USC rivalry is going to be the least of your worries......

either way, you're going to be broke.

Ever been out there?

Best friend from HS went to USC. I visited a couple times and there's a lot to like... but over all it got a "meh" in my book. Campus was alright, I guess. Only real negative I could give was that the part of town it was in scared the crap out of me as I actually to witness someone getting robbed. Girls honestly weren't that hot compared to even, say, Madison.

Hah... I guess herein lies the problem with anecdotal evidence... I've only been to Madison once... and there were a half dozen girls at that party that were hotter than any ND girl I ever saw in my 4 years.*

*DISCLAIMER: Pitchers of Spotted Cow were imbibed.

I think that was his point GB. I was stationed in Cali in back in the day, (about a generation ago) and there were some goodlookingwomen, goodgollymissmolly, but when you discount those driven to acting and those that had mucho cosmetic surgery, the net difference (natural population to natural population) was the warmer weather and more revealing clothing. The place that really, really impressed me was Atlanta Geo, especially the northern burbs.

And, pardon my, I would love to join you guys. After a few pitchers, I would even start making sense to you GB!

I got accepted to USC but my grandmother smacked me in the head when I told her and said I was interested. I went to Maryland and played lacrosse instead. I visited USC and yeah the school is nice but with "da hood" on the other side of the wall I figured being a terp was better than being a statistic! I love Maryland as it is my home but as an Irish catholic my gma wouldn't allow a USC anything! She was a great woman

Not broke...broker. I'll be in debt till I die helping them pay for their student loans. (-: ND gave us a pretty good scholarship for my other daughter...very generous school. We'll always be grateful to Notre Dame not only financially but for letting my daughter be a part of a great institution. I remember watching her walk across the south quad on her way to class during her first day of school in 2006. Seeing her with the best and the brightest kids in America that day brought tears to my eyes. Who would have thunk that an immigrant like me will have the opportunity to send a daughter to one of the best schools in the country. That's why I love this country....God bless America!

First I'd like to congratulate Irishpinoy on raising three smart and successful kids.

I've lived in LA, Chicago, Dallas, and Milwaukee.
IMO
LA had the hottest individual women.
BUT, the hottest women in mass numbers were found in Austin, Texas. It seemed like where ever I went there were beautiful women around.
Surprisingly, Wisconsin does seem to have a lot of blondes although most are a bit thicker then I prefer.

Yeah, milk and honey blonds. I know what you mean from Wisconsin.

Austin and Atlanta. How could I forget Austin. Almost everything about Austin is cool. Makes you forget it is even part of Texas!

Pinoy... You are a blessed man with obviously very talented children. No matter where they choose to better their obviously gifted minds, it will be right for them. You are in an enviable position. I can only hope for such luck in the future with my children. God Bless, Brah... Go Irish.

Lived "out there" my whole life. Ucla is a better school and it's cheaper. Sc is def very eh and you are surrounded by a war zone.

USC in a heart beat!!! Their is a difference between going for education and "taco" vs being a fan. Congrats btw on your kid being accepted. We all hate them but as a student, can be a very good education!

Side Note: Relative got accepted to ISC and ND. USC paid for his Masters and ND did not. Chose USC. He still is a jayhawk fan but is happy he went USC for his last college years lol.
