Had the conversation at least 4 times with friends and relatives in the last couple days, so figured I'd toss it out here. Assuming we win out, what are the best chances of others losing who are in front of us, or those behind us but still unbeaten. Listed all the big games below. Only a few lame weekends.

09/27 Penn St @ Maryland
09/27 AZ St @ California
9/28 Ohio St @ Nebraska
9/28 UVA @ ND

10/5 Mich St @ Ohio St
10/5 Auburn @ Florida
10/5 Iowa @ scUM
10/5 California @ Oregon

10/12 Bama @ TAMU
10/12 Florida @ LSU
10/12 Oklahoma vs Texas
10/12 Mich St @ Wisconsin
10/12 USC @ ND
10/12 Penn St @ Iowa
10/12 SCar @ UGA

10/19 LSU @ Miss St
10/19 Mich @ Pens St
10/19 Boise St @ BYU
10/19 Wisc @ IL

10/26 Auburn @ LSU
10/26 Wiscy @ Ohio St
10/26 Oklahoma @ Kansas St
10/26 ND @ scUM
10/26 Penn St @ Mich St
10/26 California @ Utah

11/2 UGA vs Florida (Neutral)

11/9 LSU @ Bama
11/9 Iowa @ Wiscy
11/9 Kansas St @ Texas

11/16 Bama @ Miss St
11/16 UGA @ Auburn
11/16 Oklahoma @ Baylor
11/16 Wiscy @ Nebraska
11/16 Florida @ Miz
11/16 USC @ California

11/23 TAMU @ UGA
11/23 Penn St @ Ohio St
11/23 California @ Stanford

11/29 Iowa @ Nebraska
11/30 Bama @ Auburn
11/30 Clemson @ South Carolina
11/30 TAMU @ LSU
11/30 Ohio St @ scUM
11/30 Oklahoma @ Oklahoma St
11/30 Wiscy @ Minnesota

Conference Championship Week
Likely: Clemson vs UVA
Likely: Bama/Auburn/LSU vs UGA/Florida
Likely: Wisconsin vs Ohio State
Likely: Oklahoma vs ?

Note: I left undefeated UVA out because if we don't beat them, none of it matters.

Clemson looks like the only lock. The rest have to play plenty of games that could trip them up. I wouldn't be shocked if all the SEC big boys had at least 1 loss. Same in the Big 10.

This loss to UGA absolutely didn't eliminate us. Going to be a fun year if we take care of our business.

Thank you for giving us the run down of the games for each team. Each week would be cool to update it with wins and losses.

Also I’ve been saying the same thing we are NOT out of the playoffs conversation yet. There is soooo much football left to play

You're welcome. I think our schedule looks a lot more manageable now that Stanford and scUM look to be mediocre. @scUM and @Stanford will still be challenges, but we SHOULD win. At home vs USC and UVA also challenges, but again, we SHOULD win.

With the close road UGA loss, we'll get mad props from the voters if UGA doesn't sheet the bed. I'm not sure if we should cheer for UGA to go undefeated, or lose twice. Two close losses by UGA (to teams like Bama/Auburn) would knock them out, but probably keep us in. I think I'd rather them go undefeated, but I also would rather them lose twice than just once (which would put them in contention for the 4th spot.

More than anything (aside from winning out), I think BK needs style points vs crap teams. No close calls to bad teams, and simply look good vs the good ones.

Oklahoma and Ohio St are the biggest worries to me right now they look like juggernauts. Wisc and Texas are the best hopes to knock them off. Then a possible rematch in the conf championship games.

We have to win out and then win the perception battle with the other 1 loss teams, hopefully only a few of them.

I honestly don't know what to think about OSU right now. They haven't played anyone. The next two weeks @ Nebraska and vs Mich St should give us a better ideal. I think they win both, but we'll see just hoe good they are.

Agree on OK, but they haven't really played anyone either. Guessing they'll end up playing TX twice this year. Would love to see TX knock them off in 3 weeks.

I dont think we got much of a shot now unless some blue bloods start dropping like flies.

I'll plan for a NY6 bowl but I dont expect the playoffs to be very likely.

Bump

Two games tonight with CFP implications (undefeated Penn St @ Maryland at 8pm and ASU @ undefeated Cal at 10:30pm).

It's about as good as a September Friday can be for CFB in terms of quality games.

Worst case scenario: Georgia goes undefeated until a loss in the SEC championship game. That makes two SEC playoff teams a lock, one of which having a head to head win over us.

We need Georgia to go undefeated and win the SEC or lose 2 or 3 games, thus eliminating themselves while preserving our loss as an "acceptable" one.
