It's a fair question. Where we stand right now is that the vBux gifts mean nothing and it removes some of the "fun" from watching people move up the money food chain.

When I joined back in 2006 there ZERO people over 1 million. It made things far more interesting.

No we're not... You're vbuck status is represenative of the amount of time you spend on this site. The only people that seem to complain about it are the people that don't spend as much time on this site, therefore they don't have as much vfortune. I think everyone agrees there needs to be a reduction the only thing people are having problems with is people have worked to build it up and now it is going down at a blanket rate so a person who has contributed nothing will have the same levels as people who are active year around.... but with that being said I dont know the limitations of the software being used to calculate the money nor do I think anyone should have to put a lot of time into the reductions... I think something simple like the top three richest people be reduced to a certain amount and break it down in groups of 3 or 5 down to the richest 20 or 25 and then everyone below that can be set at the 35,000 or whatever you had set then...again this may be more complicated or time consuming then it sounds and then we have to go with what is best for the board and go along with changes already stated.

Not really. Anyone who has over $1,000,000 has way more than they can ever use. That's hundreds of people now.

I had a Billion this summer and cut it back to $100,000...now I am at nearly $2,000,000.

It's easy to get it higher and a fun thing to try.

I don't think that betting on games that pit Duke against 4 nuns is actually interesting. This makes the games much more interesting to me. Besides, this is something that is done periodically, as many regulars know.

Everything becomes pointless when there is so much money floting around, plus it may discourage newer members from participating as much when they see everyone around them with such staggering figures. Back before I was a mod I made most of my money through posting, creating threads that sparked long conversations, and bank interest. Mostly because there wasn't anyone running the sports book, and because I really didn't want to spend my hard earned money on lottery tickets.

EXACTLY! I started alot of kick-ass threads because I wanted money. This is why it's done, and a sports book that gives away money makes it pointless.
