USC's swagger...

I hope we can have that kind of swagger on our team next year...They play so confident and with a passion...it is really a site to see...Although their dancing on the sideline and some of their antics are ridiculous...Is there a way we can have a swagger and at the same time be respectful and not act like 5 year olds? I hope soo...Anybody agree? When we had confidence early in the season we were a whole other team thanks to our self proclaimed confidence and swagger.

Its the MAJOR gap in head coaching. Pete Carol is an awesome coach, Charlie Weis is well......NOT THAT GOOD. Pete Carol is always loose, Charlie Weis.....NOPE! Usc has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more talent, Notre Dame? Not even close. Get the picture yet?

as much as I hate them, I don't think there is any doubt that USC could beat either UF or OU and win the NC game. Kills me to say that, but seeing how they dismantled a good PSU defense yesterday, I don't see how one could argue otherwise.

Look at the Big 10 in bowl games . I think they have won 1 and lost 5 . So I do not think they could beat either one. I think it would be a good game but USC still loses

USCs swagger very much reminds me of Miami's swagger in the 90s. Very cocky and unclassy if you ask me. I get pissed every time i see Jack Hanna(aka Poodle boy petey), just like i still get pissed when i see Jimmy Johnson. Yes, USC backs it up, mostly, but just because they beat a Big10 team, doesnt mean they are the best team in the nation.

The Big10 is sadly now in one of its worst ruts ever. The other conferences have stepped up the speed and strength, going to more spread offenses, with strong fast as hell defenses. This happened while the Big10 has sat back and continued run based pro-style offenses and big, strong defenses that often lack the speed to keep up.

I still think if they played Flordia,OU,TT, or any of the other dominate teams from the Big12 or SEC it would be a battle..... not saying SC couldnt win, but the games would be competitive. I truly think two teams that could pretty easily handle SC are Flordia and Texas this year. Just IMO.

John L Smith was talking about this on his radio show today. He went to some of there practices this season, an said this is pretty much how they act during practice too. He said it looks like they're just screwing around the whole time, but he thought it was good they play the same way they practice.

They are just huge, fast and talented. Hard to argue that. They did get beat though, just like everyone else. I think it would be a toss up between Texas, OU, FLA., USC if any of them played. I just dont see any one of them blowing the other out. I think OU may be the weakest. But still a great team.

So Bama coach Nick Saban showed disrespect when he said they were the only 12 win team from a real BCS conference (or something like that)...then at the coin toss at the sugar bowl, Bama Fat ass center Caldwell was trying to intimidate a Utah player by not allowing him to pass as they switched sides to show the results of the toss...

Utah Came out and absolutley Bitch Slapped Bama, and is up 14 zip in the 1st quarter...Bama had the swagger...Utah had the indignation, and anger we've been missing...Charlie needs to play the first quarter of this game for our boys...be ANGRY at the disrespect, and take it out on EVERY player, on every play, in every game you play...

Unfortunately, USC wouldn't get handled by anyone easily this year. Their defense is just too damn good. Scary good. Penn State couldn't breathe against them until the 4th when USC was bored and lost focus. Ohio St. couldn't do anything against them wither. They have possibly 10 freakin guys on defense that will get drafted next year! WTF???

They barely lost to Oregon St on the road, and that was after they had played Ohio St in the 'game of the year', and it was on a Thurs night against a team they always seem to struggle against in Corvallis. It was just a huge letdown game, one that Carroll's boys seem to do once a year. But in a big game, there is nobody better. They simply hammer teams most of the time. Now please give me a minute while I go to take a shower and wash myself of this USC stench all over myself. I can't believe I just defended those criminals.

On an anti-USC note, their offense this year, IMO, sucked ass. I watched pretty much every game, and their playcalling was awful. They have playmakers all over the field, and Sanchez has a pro arm, but they constantly let teams stick around until they finally 'opened up the playbook (their words) against ND. And then their offense took off the last 2 games (I still think they were stupid against ND, and they should have scored much more. But they looked great the last 2 games). I can't believe Sarkisian got a job at UW. Trust me, people out here have been hammering this guy since Chow left, and there are plenty of people happy that he's gone. Local radio KILLS this guy. As an ND fan, I'm sad that he's gone...

I actually was impressed by Steve's playcalling yesterday...He established the run and then ran intermediate routes and then went deep...To see a team dismantle a very good PSU D was something...

Pete has won 2 (or 1 depending on how you look at it) national titles in his tenure and was less than a minute away from another. He has won 6 or 7 pac-10 titles in a row. He has lost 8 games since 2001 by a total of 34 points.

Urban took Utah to a BCS berth and ultimately a win. He has won a national title and is playing for a second this Thursday. He has won 2 SEC titles playing in the toughest division in college football.



You see where i'm going with this. "Just go out there and play" really means "lets have fun and treat football as an opportunity not treat it like a business" which in turns equals success. I'm sorry but your going nowhere with that argument.

And your point is? He wins games. He is successful as any coach out there. The pac-10 went 5-0 during bowl games also FWIW. They must not be as bad as some are claiming. they aren't any worse than the big-10, ACC, or big east.

Your right, Heisman Trophies, National Championships, Winning, and having spot appearances from stars at almost every practice isn't glamorous enough.
