Andrew Luck is going to pack our lunch for us, then feed it to us. This game will be over by halftime.
So can we agree that we lost to a pretty good football team last weekend?

Luck can be incredible but he can also be human and he does NOT have the talent at WR USC has. I just hope our secondary doesn't give the Stanford receivers the respect they showed USC's last week or Luck will own us.
are you a fan or a critic... a person who tends too readily to make captious, trivial, or harsh judgments; faultfinder. looks like a critic to me...
We are going to dominate Stanford and redeem ourselves... Go Irish.........
And we don't have near the talent or speed on defense that USC does.
Obviously you don't read many of my posts. I was on the BCS or bust bandwagon this year. It is easy to look at one post and call out a Negative Nancy, but my MO since the start of this year was full of koolaid and fully on the bandwagon. While I am still on the bandwagon my koolaid has run dry.
Since I am a fan I am allowed to criticize the teams I am a fan of. Buying tickets and merchandise gives me that right. Criticism never hurt anyone physically, but if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Sorry bro, but after the *** hammering we took from USC heading out to Palo Alto is going to result in more than a rash. We are going to need stitches.
The truth hurts bro. Sadly a lot of us are just realizing the actual ceiling of this team right now. It is above the Purdues and Navy's and way below the USCs and Stanfords.

You are aware that while USC played a near perfect game against us (very few penalties, no turnovers, few mistakes) we twice had the ball in the second half looking to tie the game. One at the one freaking yard line. The other in the 4th quarter. So I would hardly say our ceiling is way below theirs. If you believe that, you weren't actually paying attention to the fact that despite everything, we still had a chance late in that game. IMO, shooting yourself in the foot isnt indicative of how high or low your ceiling is.
Buy all the tickets/etc you want when you say that we are going to be beat sorry bro.. i really dislike ND fans like that... I understand you feel stanford is good, but to say we are going to need stitches is just talk....
I feel we will win no matter who we play now it might be close .but this yr. i feel ND is going to beat Stanford ..
Also we gave USC the game they did not hammer us.....
Oh I see. So now we have moved football into the Horseshoes & Hand Grenades category where "close" is good enough. We couldn't run the ball, we were getting gashed all night. PA Pass killed us and somehow their #1 receiver was eating up yards like candy. While our #1 disappeared almost entirely. We didn't finish drives, we played sloppy and somehow we rate with a team that played hard and beat us down. I fail to see your side of this story.
I feel that a dose of realism might be needed by you. I thought we would beat everyone this year, minus Stanford. I have woken up to the reality that we are a middling team at best.
How many games do we have to "give" to the other team to call it "The other teams are just better than us?" We gave all 3 games away, apparently. After 1 or 2 games its called a habit.
Please go back and re-read my post. I beg you to tell where I said being close was good enough. I NEVER SAID THAT. You are simply putting words in my mouth.
My point that I tried to make, not that you tried to make for me, was that I dont know how you can says USC's ceiling is so much higher than ours, given the fact that we still had a chance despite all of our mistakes, and SC's near flawless game. I am not saying that I am satisfied by keeping it close. I am simply saying that I dont know how you could watch that game and say we arent even close to their level.
I fail to see your side of the story.

I didn't put words in your mouth. You said:
And how did that work out? It was close but we didn't quite make it. Close doesn't count. They made the plays, we didn't.
And previously:
That is the separation here, they are beyond us in their execution. Even with all the BS surrounding the program they played like a hot iron making a perfect crease on your pants. We just whizzed in our pants. Sorry if you can't see the difference here, but that night they took unmentionable and unspeakable liberties with our collective buttocks. The score was not indicative of the true beat down of that game. 41 yards rushing, 2.9 ypc. Rees under 200 yards passing NO touchdowns.
