So would I, and I had tickets! But you know when you want something REALLY badly and events conspire to make it painfully clear that it isn't going to happen? Well, that's my USC/ND experience this year.
My wife and I were all set to go, had the go ahead to use her parent's season tix, and I was PUMPED. Then in January she decided that she was ready to get pregnant (I'm 9 years older, so I'm more then ready but she wasn't sure). I figured it would take a while for her to get pregnant. Nope. Happened right away, and the due date is Oct. 12th of course. There goes that.
And then this weekend, my close friend in Charlotte, NC called me and told me that he and his fiance had set a date, and of course, the wedding will be Oct. 22nd. And I'm in the wedding. So if the baby is born on time (her parents are flying to L.A. for a month so I won't be leaving her alone), I'll be at a damn wedding instead of watching the game (although my buddy knows I will be ducking in and out to check the game).
And...it's Go Irish's bday that day, and I could have partied/celebrated with him and watched the game at his place, and I can't even do that now! Sometimes, it's just not meant to be.
Tell you what though...not sure what the situation is with the tix I once had. If my in-laws don't promise them to anyone and are willing to sell them for some spending cash for Alyssa Rae (my unborn child LOL), someone might get lucky (if they are willing to pay). But I won't know that for a long while. Thx for reading, I have too much time on my hands today and this went waaaaayyy too long! Peace, and good luck!
